Date of Stay:

Our family camped for 5 days/4 nights with six kids (ages 5-10). The campground is neat and clean. Bathrooms, pool and hottub are very nice. Quiet campground. Easy access to Lake Macatawa and Lake Michigan via bike ride. Nice riding trails. Many seasonal sites, yet they are well-maintained. The atmosphere of the campground is definitely not for young children, however. Too many rules restrict free play (no electric scooters, roller blades or small kids' tents; wristbands needed for pool). We felt like the children were expected to be quiet and contained to the campsite at all times. Many of the seasonal sites are older families. Sites are very small, especially for longer trailers. When it was full, the campground was very crowded.

This is our kids' favorite campground! Great park for kids (we have a 5 and 7 year old). Wristbands for slide is a great deal (options available). Lots of activities. Very clean facilities and helpful staff. Clean with paved roads throughout. We also love the amenities at the Ranger's Station. Can get very crowded, on weekends especially.

We camped with friends, and had 4 kids with us (ages 5-8). We went to nearby Michigan's Adventure. The campground is small with little for children to do (one bike trail, small beach, playground with small grassy area). Very close to highway 31. Mosquitos were very bad during our stay. Friendly staff.
