San Diego Metro KOA, Chula Vista, California

Date of Stay: March, 2005 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The KOA was the most fun ever! Clean and tidy, all the activities, handy to services. Kids wanted to stay at the RV park instead of going to SeaWorld! Now that's a compliment! But of course, we DID go to SeaWorld, about 20 quick minutes away. The park has great internet access options, nice laudry, pool and hot tub, play ground, rentals of many types of bikes. The sites are paved, landscaping well maintained. You can request a "firepit" delivered if you wish to make s'mores. Things are very fun here. We camped at San Diego Metro KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Chula Vista RV Resort, Chula Vista, California

Date of Stay: March, 2005 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This is an exceptional RV resort. It is spotless. It is beautiful. We sat by the pool while there was live music in the courtyard area. The kids spent days in the pool. It is just next to a lovely park on the bay, and the evening views of the yachts in the harbor. It is a very relaxing place. We thoroughly enjoyed it. We camped at Chula Vista RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Anaheim RV Park, Anaheim, California

Date of Stay: March, 2005 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This park is only OK. There is a free shuttle to Disneyland, and you can see the Matterhorn and fireworks from the park. Those are the best things about it. Otherwise, our site was terribly unlevel, we had no grass strip even though we paid top dollar. The pool is small. We did walk home from Disneyland twice, and while it is not preferred, it was not TOO far - about a mile. We would stay here again because of the shuttle and proximity to Disneyland, but not for the park. We camped at Anaheim RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Orange Grove RV Park, Bakersfield, California

Date of Stay: March, 2005 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great park. The orange trees are incredible, we picked so many we ate for 2 weeks. The restrooms were very clean and looked as if they were recently redone -- sparkling! We stayed only one night, so I can't speak for a longer stay. Friendly workers, friendly people. Pool, a little play area, a great stop. We camped at Orange Grove RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
