Fredericksburg RV Park, Fredericksburg, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2009 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very well managed and maintained RV park. We were just staying for the weekend and the park was completely full. The first two rows are full temporary stays and everything else is monthly. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We would not hesitate to stay here again. We camped at Fredericksburg RV Park in a Tent Trailer.

Catalina State Park, Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: December, 2008 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful state park. I really love the mountains out the windows. There are lots of trails for hiking, the facilities are very clean compared to many state parks we have stayed in. Best of all as you leave the park and drive across the highway you are in the Super Wal-Mart parking lot. We camped at Catalina State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Mountain View RV Park, Van Horn, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2008 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This was a decent enough campground for an overnight stop. There is plenty of room to maneuver. I really can't ask for much more from an overnight stop. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park, Fredericksburg, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2008 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Overall this park is a fantastic park for the rate paid. Some people may be put off by tight turns and small spaces in the larger area of the park. Others may be put of by the airport right next door to the park. I rarely heard the small cessnas as they take off. We were fortunate to be there when many warbirds came for the day. I am an aviation buff. Some sites will have hookups on the wrong side of the RV so be prepared with extra long hoses and electrical cords if needed. We camped at Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park in a Travel Trailer.

Red Trail Campground, Medora, North Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice friendly park. Staff is very pleasant and helpful. There was nightly entertainment by an older couple who performed at the office entrance. They drew a crowd every night. Lots are a bit tiny and crowded but we didn't spend much time in the CG with all the Park to explore. We camped at Red Trail Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Wylie Park & Storybook Land, Aberdeen, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Playing it by ear and just traveling with vague plans in mind we decided to end the day very early and stop here. No reservations, and we snagged the very last available site. The site was water/electric only so I took the time to dump tanks prior to occupying the site. Let the kids go off and enjoy the park while I hooked up. This has got to be one of the best places for kids I have ever been to, especially considering costs. Yes there are many activities that require a fee but there are many that do not. We really enjoyed our brief stay here and have more good memories of this place than many others on the trip. We camped at Wylie Park & Storybook Land in a Travel Trailer.

Rapid City RV Park and Campground, Rapid City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

I wish we had called ahead to get directions because we were driving south towards this campground. There is a steep grade leaving Rapid City on hwy16 that I would have preferred to avoid. Campground was a nice park with good amenities. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Sites were tiny though and the entire park is terraced asphalt. We camped at Rapid City RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Buffalo Hills Campground, Sterling, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Oh my gosh! Never have I been in such a poor RV park. It would appear that no maintenance has been performed in more than 5 years. The pool was filthy and we wouldn't allow the kids to get in it. I wasn't brave enough to look into the bathrooms. At one time this would have been a very highly rated RV park but it may be so far gone at this time that it can't be brought back. We would have done better at the side of the road somewhere. We camped at Buffalo Hills Campground in a Travel Trailer.

You don't get a lot of choice in northern North Dakota but this was a pleasant RV park next to the motel. Staff was friendly and we enjoyed our stay here. We camped at Oakwood Inn and RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
