Fort Clinch State Park, Fernandina Beach, Florida

The best campground for the money we have stayed. Newest & cleanest bathrooms of any campground. Lot's of fishing available & the beach or river loop. Stays full so book in advance. We camped at Fort Clinch State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Bluewater Key RV Resort, Key West, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $99.00
Overall Rating:

When we reserved the site by phone we were told that with six night paid we could have a seventh night free. Great. At check in, we were also reminded that we could have a seventh night free. Well on the morning of the seventh day, Ann the manager came by our site very upset, pointing at her watch telling us we were an hour late for check out. She stated that her next reservation was coming in in a couple of hours & will be very angry as he wanted only this site. We reminded her of the seventh day and only then did she realize her obvious scheduling mistake & backtracked & said okay she would 'deal' with it. We offered to leave anyway & she said 'thanks' she surely didn't try to make us feel welcome to stay our last night so we just packed up & got out of there. The park is beautiful no doubt but the management made you feel like you were walking on eggshells the whole time. We will not go back. We camped at Bluewater Key RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Kind of tight camping. Okay when not full. Lot's of tree canopy. Jekyll is cool to explore. The driftwood beach is beautiful. The old mansions are a great place to spend the day. Lot's of history We camped at Jekyll Island Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
