Cochrane Campground COE, Aliceville, Alabama

Date of Stay: November, 2004 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

I do a lot of fishing, and I'll tell you that this is one of my favorite places to camp. The Park manger's are the nicest people. They keep the place in good condition. It's not a big campground, but that's what I like about it, there's a lot of peace AND quiet. The kids can run AND play without you being worried they'll get run over or hurt. And at night it's quiet, not a lot of hoopla being carried on. I camp here three or four times a year. Really, I could fill a whole page about how great this place is, if you want to go and relax, and get away from it all. TRY IT!!! You'll go back. We camped at Cochrane Campground COE in a Motorhome.

Beverly Beach RV Camptown RV Resort, Flagler Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: September, 2004 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

We camped there in 04 while touring the east coast. We loved the ocean front view. It was a little pricey though. The cable tv didn't work very good. But all in all it was a nice place. We will stay again if the prices don't go up. We camped at Beverly Beach RV Camptown RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Mouse Mountain RV Resort, Davenport, Florida

Date of Stay: August, 2004 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Well to start out with, they need to change the name to something else. It's only about 6 to 8 miles from Disney World, and you would think it would have a Mickey Mouse theme to it. Wrong! Don't get me wrong, it was a nice place for older people, which we are. But we carried our grandkid's with us to visit Disney World, and stayed here at the RV park. There was nothing for the kids to do. One of the girls is 14 the other is 7. They didn't even want the 14 year old in the pool without adult supervision. Needless to say, we will not be coming back until we are in our 80's or so. I'm 52 now. We camped at Mouse Mountain RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The reason for the 5 rating is, We stayed there in 99 and everything there was in great condition then. The pool, baths, road's, even the owner's were nice. But when we went back in 04, the place had gone down big time. I'm not sure whether there were different owner's or what. The chances of us returning are slim if something's not done to revive the place. We camped in a Motorhome.

Anastasia State Park, St Augustine, Florida

Date of Stay: September, 2003 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed there in 01 & 03. The beaches were great and big. They had a problem with the rainwater drainage in a lot of the sites. The first time in 01, when it rained, we had a lake for a front yard for a day an a half. Finally I got my shovel out and dug a trench down the side of the RV so the water could drain away. The 2nd. time we looked for a site with a mound in the center so it would drain itself. It's a nice place, but the beach is a little to far to walk, so you have to drive over about 1/4 to a 1/2 mile. We will go back. We camped at Anastasia State Park in a Motorhome.
