Branches of Niagara Campground and Resort, Grand Island, New York

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed for the weekend, lots of rain and our spot was flooded out. We had difficulty getting in and out of our Rv. we could not have a fire because the fire pit was in a pool. Wifi is poor and only works at the office. For what they charge, the spots should be better drained and the Wifi should work at your site. We camped at Branches of Niagara Campground and Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Wild Pacific Camp, Ucluelet, British Columbia

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice little park top five of my all time list. Very nice family that owns and runs the park. The park is very small so call in advance to book. They have disturbed the natural area of the park very little so you get a good feel for what the natural spot was like. The new tree house will be terrific when completed for rental. It is on the water, but views are limited as it is in a wooded area. There is a very nice public beach right across the street, and at night you can even hear the waves. We camped at Wild Pacific Camp in a Travel Trailer.

Ucluelet Campground, Ucluelet, British Columbia

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $66.00
Overall Rating:

The Campground is best described as a fishing camp. They make you prepay and there are no refunds, there is a reason for this. Spots are tight especially for a travel trailer. Most spots are suitable for small c class or tents only. They do have a few spots with a view, but only half are full hook up. When we booked we were asked by Email if "by the bathrooms was ok" in most camps this would be ok, but here the spot is right up against and around the back of a very large bathroom facility. No privacy here. When we questioned the spot, we were told about "the Email", obviously the way business is done at this campground. In all fairness they tried to move us but both other spots were not much better and one had no hook ups. We camped at Ucluelet Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Uclulet is a very nice little town. In my opinion Tofino is not worth the drive. Highway 4 is very rough with a lot of tight turns, and takes a long time when towing. The Aquarium is worth checking out.

Fort Camping, Fort Langley, British Columbia

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park well treed, no bugs. Nice wide roadways in interior, easy to find except if you pass the driveway you may end up in unfriendly territory. The trains are noisy and run late at night. We were lucky to get a spot with a nice view. Girl at the front desk could have been a little nicer. We camped at Fort Camping in a Travel Trailer.

Salish Seaside RV Haven (formerly Westbay Marine Village RV Park) , Victoria, British Columbia

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $89.00
Overall Rating:

They have built a wonderful park, with great views of the bay. Easy spots to get into but some are a little close together. sites 3-18 are the best for views, but the rest still have boathouse, and bay views. The club house is very beautiful, with supplied television, barbque, fridge, etc.but it is only open till six pm. If you are getting a coach spot you will need at least three drain hoses to connect as the hook ups are not only on the opposite side, but at the front of the spot. Wifi and water pressure are good, and no bugs! We camped at Salish Seaside RV Haven (formerly Westbay Marine Village RV Park) in a Travel Trailer.

Lots of things to do close by. Victoria is an easy drive and traffic is a breeze. Many sea birds and float planes to watch. Boardwalk is a 45 min walk to downtown, or a water taxi is within walking distance.

Rock Springs / Green River KOA, Rock Springs, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

The park is much improved from our last stay 7 years ago. It is a good park for a 1 night stop on the road. All gravel, clean with newly planted trees. Beautiful backdrop of the mountains. Friendly, helpful staff. Some spots are tight but for one night, not a huge issue. We camped at Rock Springs / Green River KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Cascade Locks / Portland East KOA, Cascade Locks, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park, mature trees, lots of shade. But the location next to the railway and crossing makes for a very noisy night. Very busy park that fills up quickly. Sites need to be built up to level them. Lots of sandy dirt. It would be very muddy and wet if it is raining a lot. We camped at Cascade Locks / Portland East KOA in a Travel Trailer.

1000 Islands / Association Island KOA , Henderson Harbor, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $95.00
Overall Rating:

Pull through waterfront spots were very nice, we were on the windy side of the Island and it stayed so cool we did not have to run the air conditioner. The spots that are not waterfront are very rutted and uneven, and they stay a lot warmer without the wind. Front desk staff are polite, but appear to be a little poorly trained. The rental golf carts running laps of the park were not appropriate, and the speeds should be limited. We camped at 1000 Islands / Association Island KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Quinte's Isle Campark, Cherry Valley, Ontario

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $89.00
Overall Rating:

Front desk were great until I had a concern and wanted to move. They charge ten dollars just to make your reservation and their cancellation policy is the most unfair we have ever encountered. They also charge eight fifty a day for wifi. The Mosquito's were so bad in the pull through section we could not sit outside. The lakefront is about a mile away and they have waterfront spots here. The pull through's are tight, uncut bushes scratched our truck. The interior roads are very busy, with vehicles travelling too fast, and too many golf carts. We camped at Quinte's Isle Campark in a Travel Trailer.
