1000 Islands / Association Island KOA , Henderson Harbor, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $95.00
Overall Rating:

Pull through waterfront spots were very nice, we were on the windy side of the Island and it stayed so cool we did not have to run the air conditioner. The spots that are not waterfront are very rutted and uneven, and they stay a lot warmer without the wind. Front desk staff are polite, but appear to be a little poorly trained. The rental golf carts running laps of the park were not appropriate, and the speeds should be limited. We camped at 1000 Islands / Association Island KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Quinte's Isle Campark, Cherry Valley, Ontario

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $89.00
Overall Rating:

Front desk were great until I had a concern and wanted to move. They charge ten dollars just to make your reservation and their cancellation policy is the most unfair we have ever encountered. They also charge eight fifty a day for wifi. The Mosquito's were so bad in the pull through section we could not sit outside. The lakefront is about a mile away and they have waterfront spots here. The pull through's are tight, uncut bushes scratched our truck. The interior roads are very busy, with vehicles travelling too fast, and too many golf carts. We camped at Quinte's Isle Campark in a Travel Trailer.

Great spot to stay if going to the speedway, or fair. Reasonable sized spots. But the spots are not very level, and you will need a water manifold and long water hoses to use the hook ups. We camped at juniata fairgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

South Bend / Elkhart North KOA, Granger, Indiana

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Well run park in a very safe area. Lots to do nearby, stores gas etc. The Train is only a block away but did not bother us.But the day camp is very noisy! The spots are tight, and yes the fire rings can be close to your rig, but we were on an end of the row spot which was a good size for KOA.The two night minimum for a long week end can present a problem if you are just passing through. Lots of mature trees, good shade. We camped at South Bend / Elkhart North KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Less than friendly front desk, but great spot for overnight. Pull throughs are well shaded, with mature trees. Back ins are in the afternoon sun. Good exit close to highway, easy to navigate.Very little gravel and it gets muddy if it has rained. We camped at Holiday RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Denver West / Central City KOA, Central City, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Very beautiful views at this campground. The upper level and back in sites generally have the best views, It is a bit of a tuff climb up the parkway, but the new entrance way saves the extreme down hill and switchback inside Central city. It would be nice if the staff would not put buses in front of the view of travel trailers. The park is dusty, and unfortunatly the staff drives fast and they set a poor example for the guests. That being said the staff were very friendly and helpful. We camped at Denver West / Central City KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The next exit off 70 has a Safeway which sells firewood for 4.99. exit 251 off I70 has a Walmart. Driving time from here takes a long time because of the roads and speed limits, Denver, Golden, etc appear close but take a while. The Coors tour was very good.

Tiger Run RV Resort, Breckenridge, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $95.00
Overall Rating:

Beautifully landscaped park with close access to Breckinridge and Frisco. The pool and clubhouse were lovely and clean. We enjoyed our first 2 nights at a pull thru site with lots of shade, good wifi and cable. We had to change spots and were very disappointed with the lack of shade, broken cable connection and many barking dogs. Management was friendly but did little to address our concerns. As they said, they have excellent relationships with the owners of permanent sites and although apologetic about dogs, broken cable connection etc. did nothing to address our concerns as we rented a site for 3 nights. It appears this is the only park in this area so we appreciated the cleanliness, nice grounds and easy access to attractions. We camped at Tiger Run RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The spots on Club house row are busy and noisy, the views are blocked with cargo trailers etc. Not all spots have fire rings. There are a lot of ants here, if staying a long time put down some repellant. Frisco is close by and has a Walmart and Safeway. Down town Frisco is very cute and is worth seeing. The Island Grille at Frisco bay is excellent and the views are beautiful.

Salina KOA, Salina, Kansas

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Easy to get to from the interstate. we were at the back, so highway noise was minimal. But the Birds in this park make it noisy, and they get up early! Concrete pad was narrow and the grass was muddy from Rv traffic. It was difficult to find a dry spot to have in front of your door. The phone staff were a little inexperienced, and others a bit gruff. We camped at Salina KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Spaulding Lake Campground, Niles, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This park is good for an overnight stay, the pull through sites are a little tight and you may need double length hoses. Lots of young families and a big play ground for them. It is a little off the beaten path for a over night from the highway. We camped at Spaulding Lake Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Four Seasons RV Resort, Salida, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $68.00
Overall Rating:

We had a river front site, the sound of the River was wonderful. The park has many mature trees and is well kept. The desk staff are friendly, and any questions or concerns were looked after promptly. The new remodel of the premium spots are well done, the spots are angled to face the river, and gives an almost private view. Wifi and water pressure are very good.
