Frisco Woods Campground, Frisco, North Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $69.00
Overall Rating:

Usually stay here when we travel to the outer banks. Overall a nice, good decent campground. A popular camp ground. Main shower house by pool is tiled and air conditioned. Shower house on "B" loop is not - pressure treated lumber and no AC but an ok shower house. Pool is nice. Camp ground close to beach ramps. We camped at Frisco Woods Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Sagadahoc Bay Campground, Georgetown, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

On the positive side, the campground has a beautiful view of and is on Sagadahoc Bay, not the ocean. At low tide, you can walk out for several hundred yards on the bay's sandy floor and dig for clams or shell hunt. A lot of natural beauty to behold. The owner/wife was friendly, helpful and informative. A very nice lady. Fresh lobster & clams are delivered to your site on order. About 2 miles from Reid State Park which has four (4) great beaches. A great base for exploring up and down the coast as we did. Easy drive to Acadia National Park. On the negative, the place was shoddy at best. The bath house remained filthy for our entire 7 day stay. The bath house trash cans were emptied once. Trash on the floor. The toilets did not function correctly and were hard to flush, which often resulted in finding a full, over flowed toilet. The Port-a-potty at the bay side campground needs to be pumped out more than once a week, or they need to add another one. The dump station leaves a lot to be desired as well. The campground seemed just plain run down. The owner/husband leaves a lot to be desired as a campground host/owner. Not very pleasant and always seemed to be in a bad mood. Constantly complaining about the costs & effort involved with running a campground. Then he had the audacity to claim they were the highest priced campground around. This could be a great campground and has a lot of potential, but I would be hard pressed to return. We camped at Sagadahoc Bay Campground in a Travel Trailer.
