Lakeside Campground veraciously expresses the scenic beauty of Upstate New York and offers a variety of activities. The owners are ever present and go to great lengths to make campers feel at home. It is their passion and enjoyment in what they do which this reviewer feels created Lakeside Campground's unique selling point: A warm and wonderful community—including Ricky, the camp dog—making it the perfect place for a family either seasonally or just over a weekend. There is obvious pride in maintaining the grounds, as all sites and facilities (bathrooms and showers) are well kept and clean. The bottom-line is, when planning a family getaway, the Lakeside Campground will prove to be a nostalgic experience.

The white water rafting experience was among the best I've had. I strongly recommend the Adirondack Adventure Resort for rafting among other experiences.

Old Forge offers comfortable accommodations as well great hiking trails, with plenty to explore. Located near Enchanted Forest Water Safari and Calypso's Cove, it adds up to an active and fun filled week. This reviewers only criticism is, the bathrooms and showers could have been better kept.
