Convenient, old KOA with adequate utilities. Sites close & recent rain created several muddy spots. Adequate dog park. Deluxe site had gas BBQ & wood deck with fire pit & chairs. Need trees trimmed. We camped at Sallisaw / Fort Smith West KOA in a Motorhome.

Grand Canyon Railway RV Park, Williams, Arizona
Date of Stay:
August, 2016 -
$40.00
Overall Rating:
Beware of sites with excess slope. No dog park - only lava rock & asphalt for walking dogs. Internet useless. Great location for train trip to canyon. We camped at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in a Motorhome.
Since you are here, might as well take the train. But don't expect a "Durango to Silverton" experience. Not real scenic and on board talent is some great and some really bad. First sight of canyon is truly breathtaking. Eat at Arizona Room.

Sky City RV Park, Acoma, New Mexico
Date of Stay:
August, 2016 -
$18.00
Overall Rating:
Casino RV park. Excellent layout and good utilities but no dog park. Beware- Burrs will penetrate tennis shoes. Walk dogs on gravel only. Casino Buffet is really bad. Need to check-in at casino to get keys to padlocked utilities and return keys to casino when leaving. Great for overnight stay if you don't have dogs and aren't hungry. We camped at Sky City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Buck Creek RV Park, Abilene, Texas
Date of Stay:
August, 2016 -
$33.00
Overall Rating:
Horrible dust cloud will surround you immediately after turning into park. Dogs will bring burrs into coach. No grass - just weeds and mesquite trees. Good utilities and Internet and long pull-throughs. We stay here when visiting kids in Abilene but can't wait for new park to open just a few miles west on I-20. We camped at Buck Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.
Eat at Wholly Cow for a fabulous burger!

Windmill RV Park, Merkel, Texas
Date of Stay:
August, 2015 -
$30.00
Overall Rating:
New park about 12 miles west of Abilene that is still being developed. Had to shut down engine while being registered because of road dust. Site plenty long enough but sewer connection placed so that you have to park on first half of pad. No trees or grass. Bar ditches at entry and exit of site that will be mud holes if it ever rains. Just a flat, barren, gravel place with hookups. We camped at Windmill RV Park in a Motorhome.

Little Creek RV Village, Alto, New Mexico
Date of Stay:
August, 2015 -
$33.00
Overall Rating:
It has been several years since we were here and it is just as cute, clean, and relaxing as before. Limited spaces for 45 footers, wifi is extremely weak, and ATT service is iffy at best. Mostly older crowd with dogs galore so everybody is super friendly. Have not seen the deer or elk yet but looking forward to them roaming the park early and late. Best park in the Ruidoso area for big rigs. We camped at Little Creek RV Village in a Motorhome.
Be sure to eat at the Cattle Baron steakhouse.

Small city park with 7 acre lake, on-site host, bathrooms, well lit, quiet, 60' pull-throughs, and wide grassy areas between sites. Ten day maximum stay for $8 weekdays and $10 weekends but no reservations taken. The park was less than half full when we pulled in for 4 days. This is the best place to stay in Pampa. We camped at Pampa City Park in a Motorhome.
