Sterling State Park, Monroe, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

This park was very refreshing! It had hiking trails, fishing, swimming, etc. We came here after leaving Harbortown RV Resort where we were very dissatisfied! My kids didn't say they were "bored" even once! Now that's an accomplishment! We will definitely visit this park again!!! We camped at Sterling State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Harbortown RV Resort, Monroe, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $35.00

We were very unhappy with this place! They are money sucking leeches! The only thing that didn't cost money was using the restroom! Everything else cost an arm and a leg. With all the activities they have, we thought our family would have lots of fun, but it only lasted as long (or little) as our money did! The owner was unfriendly and not hospitable at all! They had toys for the kids to play with in the pool and wouldn't even let them use them. This was our first and last visit. The best part of our vacation was leaving here!!! We camped at Harbortown RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Otsego Lake State Park, Gaylord, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

We do not care for this campground! The lake and facilities were nice, but the staff was unfriendly. Also, they cater to the older campers that stay there long periods of time and less to the family campers. My husband and I are in our 40's and are quiet campers including our children and dog. Our dog is very obedient, and yet we received many complaints about him. Our dog has his Canine Good Citizen and is allowed in nursing homes and yet he was not welcome here... just think about it... I'm sorry to say, we will not return to this park anytime soon. We camped at Otsego Lake State Park in a Travel Trailer.

LOVE IT! I've been coming here since I was a kid with my parents and now I'm camping with my children. Love it!!! The water is absolutely beautiful and clean!
