Mill Creek Ranch RV & Cottage Resort, Canton, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Easy to see why this park was named Best Park in Texas for 2009, in large parks. It is by far the best park we've ever stayed in. The restrooms and showers are the cleanest and nicest I've ever seen. The sites are very ample and beautifully maintained. You won't very a more friendly staff. From the moment you check in, until you sadly have to leave, the staff is there to assist in any way possible. On Trade Day weekends they have a shuttle that runs to the Trade Day grounds, and even have a free BBQ on Saturday night with live entertainment. Just a Little slice of Heaven in East Texas!! We camped at Mill Creek Ranch RV & Cottage Resort in a Motorhome.

This resort was a real surprise. They have a nice recreation center with a good assortment of exercise equipment (weights and cardio) also some machines that you lay on and they exercise you. Pretty settings with a lot of green space and some ponds. The laundry and showers were immaculate. They also have a Rv repair onsite, and also a store with good assortment of camping/RV supplies. We camped at Cutty's Des Moines Camping Club, Inc in a Motorhome.

Point Lookout State Park, Scotland, Maryland

Date of Stay: April, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Really nice state park. We stayed in the Hoffman Loop, which allows pets. The sites are huge and somewhat private..there are thick woods and brush between every site. There is no shower/bath house in the Hoffman loop. The restrooms/showers are on the Malone Loop and the Green Loop. Green loop are waterview sites. The staff is very helpful. Be sure to check out the haunted lighthouse. They even have seances there occasionally We camped at Point Lookout State Park in a Motorhome.
