Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground), St Augustine, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2014 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Reading some of the reviews left us a little skeptical before staying here. Well all I can say is try it yourself and then make your opinion. Great check in, staff were very courteous. We had a pull through site, sites are very spacious, the grounds are extremely clean, restrooms and showers are so clean you could eat your food off the floor. We were very impressed. And we will stay here again. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Pacetti's Marina, Campground and Fishing Resort (Closed), St Augustine, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2014 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

The campground has been closed and is now a fish camp, hardly anyone uses it. Doesn't appear to be a campground anymore. We camped at Pacetti's Marina, Campground and Fishing Resort (Closed) in a Motorhome.

Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park, Jacksonville, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2012 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The campground was in the middle of having all the electrical work done and completed sites were in a total mess, the ground has not been raked to level the sites, branches and twigs laying everywhere, the dirt on the sites were not packed down. I expected them to be cleaned up if that is what the workers there are supposed to do and not sit in their golf carts in the campground talking to one another. The campground looked like a dump. If the workers spent time cleaning this place up it could be making a lot more money. Hope something is done real soon to fix the major problem of the workers slacking off. We camped at Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Jekyll Island Campground, Jekyll Island, Georgia

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Want to give my latest reviews after a negative one on our last stay here. This park has done many upgrades. They now have crushed blacktop roads in the campground: now my feet don't get covered in dirt or black after using the showers. New cable for the TV, the showers are all renovated and very clean. All posts and buildings have also been painted. Staff is very friendly. Love to see lots of people about and camp fires burning. The campers here are very friendly too. Now all the campground needs are paved patios on the spots, but I can understand with all the trees that could be difficult. Screened in pool would also be nice, it would be worth paying the extra for that. Not too many snow birds at the moment which makes it a little more like a campground. We will definitely be back here again real soon. Love what Jekyll Island is doing to the Island. We camped at Jekyll Island Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Pacetti's Marina, Campground and Fishing Resort (Closed), St Augustine, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

As we pulled in we knew "omg" what? Not quite what we were expecting, full of full timers in travel trailers and with wheels, most looks like if a gust of wind came along they would be blown away, it looked more like an RV grave yard or junk yard, everywhere was overgrown. I would like to check how many drunks and child molesters live here. No I will never stay here EVER again. We camped at Pacetti's Marina, Campground and Fishing Resort (Closed) in a Fifth Wheel.

North Beach Camp Resort, St Augustine, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice campground, we camped here by the river. Had great views, well until a 44' motorhome pulled in beside us and blocked our views. Restrooms were clean. Nice pool area, but I noticed people were parking their cars who were not staying at the campground and using the pool. Kind of wish the pool was behind the gates. A little pricey. Everywhere is sandy, but that is expected so close to the beach. We will stay here again. We camped at North Beach Camp Resort in a Tent Trailer.

Ocala National Forest / Salt Springs Rec Area, Fort McCoy, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 2 wonderful nights, we were very impressed by the renovations. The restrooms and showers were spotless and very modern. The sites are all paved, and many have fairly good shade, however we were in full shade, didn't realize it until we were all set up, too many trees removed, otherwise a beautiful place. There is no internet or cable TV or phone service, no big deal as we were there to relax. The springs is beautiful, great place to cool off. People were very friendly. Staff was terrific. Out in the middle of the Ocala forest: be prepared to relax and do nothing. We took nature walks and drives. We camped in site #47. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Ocala National Forest / Salt Springs Rec Area in a Tent Trailer.

Jekyll Island Campground, Jekyll Island, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2011 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

I love the trees, but there is no privacy in the camp spots. They are too close together, and there is too much dirt, everything gets filthy dirty. I went and took a shower, by the time i got back to my camper my feet were covered in dirt. Campers from deliverance pulled in next to us at 10pm and were up most of the night partying, all 6 adults and 4 kids. I complained about the noise and the park manager told the deliverance people who reported the noise. The wifi is terrible, I could never get on. I will not stay here again. We camped at Jekyll Island Campground in a Tent Trailer.
