McKinney Campground COE, Cartersville, Georgia

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is one of our favorites. It is a large campground with big sites, many on the water. The campground has many sites that are non-reservable so you can almost always find a nice site even at the last minute. The campground stays open all year too which is nice because we like to camp in the cooler weather as well as when we can use beautiful lake Allatoona. We camped at McKinney Campground COE in a Travel Trailer.

El Governor Motel & RV Park, Mexico Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $38.00

My experience here was not good. We were there less than 3 hours when our large ice chest was stolen. It obviously was not the first time this has happened. The manager didn't seem surprised, in fact he seemed to think it was funny because he joked about it. Before we left, it happened to another camper. His fishing rods and tackle were stolen. Again the manager made a joke of it. I know this can happen anywhere, but the manager didnt seem to care. In my opinion this should not be a recurring problem in a campground this small. We loved the beach there but will camp elsewhere next time. We camped at El Governor Motel & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Cloudland Canyon State Park, Rising Fawn, Georgia

Date of Stay: April, 2008 - $22.00

This is a great campground set in a beautiful location in North Georgia. The campsites are very large and we have always found easy, flat sites to set up on. There is excellent hiking in this area with breath taking views. I highly recommend this campground. We camped at Cloudland Canyon State Park in a Travel Trailer.
