The Woods RV Park and Campground LLC, Montgomery, Alabama

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

I stayed here during a hurricane evacuation, and the owner/operators were very helpful getting me to the campground under hectic driving conditions. They even helped me find the stores I needed to get supplies for the trip back. Staff was very friendly, it's family owned and operated. I am a new full timer so they helped me get a Good Sam card and then discounted my rate to the GS rate. All the sites were pull through and offered cable, along with Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi is semi restricted, so only slight drawback. The washroom and bathrooms are very clean and well kept. Overall it's a very nice friendly park and would stay here again. It has several restaurants within walking distance I think 5 or 6 with in 3 blocks, mostly fast food. There was also a very large park on the next exit up, which was very nice for walking about or for families. We camped at The Woods RV Park and Campground LLC in a Fifth Wheel.

Fairview Riverside State Park, Madisonville, Louisiana

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice clean state run park. I found the staff to be friendly and very helpful upon arrival. I stayed in the rear area of the park near the river and liked walking the pier and boardwalk in the woods. I found the Wifi to be very good. I enjoyed my morning coffee on the pier watching the sun come up.. very peaceful. I will be staying here on and off on many more little weekend visits. There is a 2 week max stay, I can see why now. Too many would stay here if not. We camped at Fairview Riverside State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sun Roamers RV Resort, Picayune, Mississippi

Date of Stay: May, 2008 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

I moved here, and found the staff very helpful and friendly. They do some group events and can accommodate fairly good size venues. This is a park that was hit hard by Katrina and most of the FEMA's are gone. They have 4 or 5 MEMA's which are the cabin type, but the tenants are very nice and quiet. The pool is nice, and shallow in one end for the kiddies, perfect for the smaller swimmers. The full timers are spread out so unless you're here all the time you really can't tell too much. Some of the short extended folks just blend in. It's a very friendly park and stay here alot. I've based my stay here for over 4 months and recommend it to anyone. Wi-Fi is good and included, monthly rates aren't bad either. Owner is very reasonable with request for some additional charges, but most are for the full timers. Very nice park. We camped at Sun Roamers RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
