Austin Lone Star RV Resort, Austin, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $63.00
Overall Rating:

The management was nice and helpful and the guy that led us to the site gave a lot of helpful details. Sites are good size and well maintained. I-35 can be noisy so best to request a site further back from the road. Cable is not available but the local broadcast stations pick up well. Some sites have large hedges on the left and your left slide may butt up against the hedge so be sure and remove any items from the bins before opening it. We camped at Austin Lone Star RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There are some good shops and restaurants at Southpark Meadows with a very nice playground for kids. With the current construction a good way to get there is the back way: take an immediate right off the service road at Boggy Creek, then go a couple of miles and turn right on Slaughter Ln. Go under the freeway and take a left on the service road - Southpark Meadows will be on the right.

Coushatta Casino Resort Red Shoes RV Park, Kinder, Louisiana

Date of Stay: December, 2009 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Nice wide concrete sites with large concrete patios with picnic tables. The shuttle to the casino was convenient and reliable. The only issue was with the cable reception which had problems with some of the network stations losing reception. We camped at Coushatta Casino Resort Red Shoes RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tropic Winds RV Resort (55+ Park), Harlingen, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2009 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Lots of activities and good facilities available at the resort. Parking was a back-in site on grass with a concrete patio, long enough for parking the car. The spacing between the sites is generous and the park is in a quiet area, set well away from the road. We camped at Tropic Winds RV Resort (55+ Park) in a Motorhome.

Copano Bay RV Resort , Rockport, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2009 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Park is located in a quiet rural location on the north side of the town. The managers were nice and helpful. Most of the sites are back-ins. Ours was a little difficult to back into but the assistant made it easier. One issue is that not all sites have cable so be sure to ask for one that does. We camped at Copano Bay RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Midessa Oil Patch RV Park, Odessa, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2009 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Park roads were a little tight to navigate to get to the site, due to vehicles parked partially in the park roads. However, a friendly escort made the trip to the site and setup easy. There are a fair number of permanent residents but most were on the other side of the park. It is a pleasant place to stay when in the Midland/Odessa area. We camped at Midessa Oil Patch RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Brand new park with very nice facilities. Concrete pads are 80' long and are big-rig friendly. Wireless internet was reliable and strong. The site is right next to the Choctaw Casino with shuttle service to the casino. Pet friendly with a large dog run divided into two sections. We camped at Durant / Choctaw Casino KOA in a Motorhome.

Cedar Valley RV Park , Guthrie, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

The park is well laid-out with good space between the sites. It rained a lot during our trip and the grassy areas between the sites pooled some water. The WiFi didn't work most of the time we were there. The park is nice and quiet and the scenery around the area is pleasant, best park we've stayed at in the Guthrie area. We camped at Cedar Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.
