Homewood RV Park, Homewood, Kansas

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

After a long day on the road it was nice to pull in and have immediate service including freshly popped bag of pop corn, and a nice ink pen. This is a park we will remember while traveling I-35. It is a very easy on and off plenty of space between the sites and very clean. We camped at Homewood RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We had planned to stay for a couple of nights but ended up staying for a week. We were taken to our site and assisted with parking. All the staff were extremely friendly. The owners addressed us by our names. The views were spectacular. There is a small grocery store in town and a few good places to eat. We camped at Mountain View RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Douglas KOA, Douglas, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived with multiple RV's. There were three very efficient, friendly and knowledgeable you ladies that checked us in and parked us. We have stayed at many KOA RV parks and this one should be used by KOA as a model for friendly efficient service. It certainly was appreciated by us after a long day of driving. Our dogs very much appreciated the patch of grass at each site too! We camped at Douglas KOA in a Motorhome.

Longhorn RV Resort, Niederwald, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

First the positive experience at this park. We were here for a month. It is in a great location to Austin close enough to the shopping outlet at San Marcos. The customer service surpasses any we have experienced. It has a great country feel and a nice view. The HEB grocery store in Kyle is a wonderful shopping experience. The pool is very pleasant. The WIFI is good if you pay for the upgrade. The disappointments and suggested improvements. This is not a park we would call an RV resort. There is zero shade. There aren't any organized social activities or pickle ball courts. The park is mostly full of people there for work and about 20 sites left for others enjoying RVing. The pads are concrete but not level. There is not a patio at 90 percent of the sites. No place to set a BBQ and chairs for outside entertaining. If you have a large rig with slide outs you step out of your rig into the grass that is ankle high. This was the biggest disappointment, we lost power more than once on the weekends when the park was full, as did our neighbor. He was away all day and had to throw food out because of no refrigerator. Our AMP meter would drop below normal voltage in the afternoons and we would have to shut items off to prevent our air conditioners from shutting down. The fitness center is very tiny and has an odor that smells like adhesive the equipment is not up to date. This park has potential to become a resort and hopefully improvements will make that happen. We camped at Longhorn RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Fortuna De Oro RV Park (55+), Yuma, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed at other Cal Am Parks since 2009. Compared to parks in Mesa AZ this is a horrible disappointment. The park has very poor signage to register. A big sign on a block wall for the park AFTER the office to register. We had to turn around and go back. Three people in front of us and we got told by the ranger we would have to park ourselves. Other Cal Am parks won't allow you to park in a site without ranger assistance. When we called to tell them we had an issue, no one answered the phone even though they had 6 people behind the counter "chatting" with each other. Left a message and no one returned our call. We camped at Fortuna De Oro RV Park (55+) in a Motorhome.

Happy Trails RV Resort ( A 55+ Park), Surprise, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

This park came recommended to us by an RV mobile technician when we were visiting another park near Phoenix. This is a unique RV Resort. It is a destination park rather than an overnight stay park. You can rent daily, weekly or monthly. We very much enjoyed the people and the activities. The lots are large 2400 square feet or larger they are all back in sites. Lots vary in landscaping from bare gravel lots to fully covered ports with Casitas. Lots are deeded rather than owned by a commercial park. Rent directly from owners or a service. Amenities includes a volunteer run restaurant serving breakfast and lunch in season. The food is excellent. Pickleball, Golf, Tennis, Billards, Pottery, Scheduled Entertainment and Tours. It is easy access from the 303 loop and I-10 interstate. Spring training baseball games less than 5 miles away. The golf club outside the gate also has good food and serves a Cod fish fry dinner for 5 to 7 pm each Friday night. We camped at Happy Trails RV Resort ( A 55+ Park) in a Motorhome.

Near I-10 @ loop 303. 30 minutes to Phoenix or Scottsdale. Close to Hwy 60 that takes you I-40 via I-17 or Hwy 93 depending on your travel direction. If you are in the area and want to take a look around you can tour the park if you are in the area by making a request at the front gate.

There is a Walgreens, multiple grocery stores, and Sams Club nearby.

Marquee On The Bay RV Resort, Dickinson, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

This park has been open less than two weeks. The rate posted is a daily rate. We stayed here on the monthly rate of $650.00 for a Bayou front site. We have stayed in this area since 2008. We watched this park being built over the last 3 years. It turned out beautifully. The sites are level and extra large. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. WiFi and Cable not in yet but coming. We camped at Marquee On The Bay RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Distant Drums RV Resort, Camp Verde, Arizona

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

This park is beautiful and some of the sites have a great view of the mountains and the valley below. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. The rate posted is based on the monthly rate which includes electric and trash picked up at your site. The grocery store in Camp Verde is a very nice Bashas. The Casino is just across the interstate and Cottonwood is only about 30 minutes away if you need to do other shopping such as Walmart. We camped at Distant Drums RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Railside RV Ranch, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This is a gravel parking lot with pull-thru sites. There is adequate space between the RV's but the sites are not very long. If you are a light sleeper the train whistles will wake you up multiple times a night. The park was very friendly and helpful during our stay. We camped at Railside RV Ranch in a Motorhome.

Houston East RV Resort, Baytown, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at this park for service on our MH from Cutting Edge RV service across the Interstate. The park called to confirm our arrival. When we arrived they were very welcoming and we were given cold water. The grounds are immaculate will cement pads and nicely spaced apart. From inside the MH the Interstate noise was not an issue. We camped at Houston East RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Shallow Creek Golf & RV Resort, Gladewater, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

The pull-through sites here are long and concrete. Picnic tables at each site are well maintained. Plenty of space between rigs. Easy in and out. The staff was very friendly and took us to our site. There is swimming pool, a fishing pond (catch and release) and walking trails along the golf course perimeter. We camped at Shallow Creek Golf & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Shady Pines RV Park, Texarkana, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

The park may be the best manicured park I have ever seen. It is about 10 miles off of I-30 but worth the drive to have a peaceful stay. Large pull-throughs with a table and a beautiful lawn. There is a stocked pond. Would be a great park for a small rally. We camped at Shady Pines RV Park in a Motorhome.

Elkhart Campground, Elkhart, Indiana

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Downtown Elkhart roads are under construction and the detours where not easy in a big rig with a toad. A pre-warning and a suggested route in when we made the reservations would have been appreciated.

The sites are grass and we only put the jacks down for stability. It is next to an RV dealer and the constant intercom paging system was a bit annoying first thing in the morning. We camped at Elkhart Campground in a Motorhome.

Easy to find off of the Interstate. Nice long pull-throughs. The staff was very friendly. We were guided to our site even though it was right in front of us. Our site was level and we only put our jacks down for stability. We were here for overnight and would come back again. We camped at Hinton RV Park in a Motorhome.

J.B.'s RV Park & Campground, Benton, Arkansas

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

After a long day and 6 hours in the rain this is was the perfect place to spend the night. Easy off and on the interstate. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. He even came and helped us park in the rain. We are surrounded by trees and a lovely pond in front of us. Level enough to not have to put our jacks down in the rain. Picked up the internet with our MIFI with no problem. TV a little more difficult because of the trees. We camped at J.B.'s RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.
