Merry Meadows Recreation Farm (formerly Morris Meadows), Freeland, Maryland

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

The 800 telephone number may not work - was told they are changing telephone service providers - use 410-357-4088. Have stayed here many times over the years and park continues to be kept clean and run well. Water pressure is and has always been adequate if low - 30lbs. We camped at Merry Meadows Recreation Farm (formerly Morris Meadows) in a Motorhome.

Called today 5/28/13 and was informed that this campground is closed permanently and will not reopen. Site has been purchased by others and is being redeveloped for purposes other than a campground. We camped at Lee Highway Campground in a Motorhome.

Knox Hill RV Resort, Knoxville, Alabama

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We have used this campground several times on our way from TN to points South. Nothing fancy and a good place to stop overnight. Sites in general are concrete and level. Ownership has changed recently and the new owner is making progress in firming up the interior roads. Some road noise at upper level sites. Some restaurants 10-15 miles away and more in Tuscaloosa -- 25 miles. We camped at Knox Hill RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lakeside RV Park, Livingston, Louisiana

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean and well kept park. One of the best parks along the I-10/I-12 stretch of LA. Roadways and pads are concrete and pads were very level. We didn't need to use levelers at all. Not much at this exit and about 10-15 miles to exits with restaurants, stores, etc. Very quiet from traffic noise and residents. There appear to be many seasonals. This campground has been added to our preferred stops in this area. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Riverbend RV Park & Resort, Richmond, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is not a resort destination. It is a very good spot to use for overnight for a short stay in the Houston area including good access to Galveston. Resort is very open with long level sites. Roads are cinder and can track into the coach especially when wet and heavy dew in morning. Friends of ours will probably be there for several months while one undergoes chemo treatment at AD Anderson Medical Clinic. Good spot for relatively quiet stay on the South side of Houston. We camped at Riverbend RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Enfield / Rocky Mount KOA, Enfield, North Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

As stated in other reviews, this is a good, quiet overnight spot when traveling I-95. Back sites are full hook up and in the past I was not able to get the coach to level back to front. Also, the sewer hookups are generally at the back end of the site - so you either need an extra long sewer hose or make other arrangements to dump. For the last few visits, we have opted to use a front pull thru site that affords good satellite reception and is just water and electric. When leaving, the outer park road comes very close to the highway and makes for an extremely tight - for our 43' motor home - almost 'U' turn to get on the local highway and return to I-95. I have opted to wander through the interior roads and come to the entrance at less of a sever angle. We camped at Enfield / Rocky Mount KOA in a Motorhome.

Fort Chiswell RV Park, Max Meadows, Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We use this campground for overnight visits. It is very convenient to the interstates and the sites are generally easy to get into and out of with our 43' motorhome. Some sites are shaded by trees and others are open - we choose open for satellite reception. Staff is friendly and the campground is maintained well. Even thought there is a FlyingJ truck stop close bye, there is very little road noise in the campground. We will continue to use this campground for overnight and short term stays. We camped at Fort Chiswell RV Park in a Motorhome.

Drummer Boy Camping Resort, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

We also used this campground for several years, many years ago, and it has changed - not necessarily for the better. The cost per night is one of the most expensive we have encountered outside of a true RV resort setting. The site we were first assigned was very uneven and I could not get our rig level front to back. Requested another level site - there were several available in the area - and had to pay extra for a 'premium' site. While stopping at the office to pay the extra charge, I made a comment about the uneven site that I could not use, I was told that I would normally have been charge extra for switching sites. We stayed only one night and intend to not return. I also echo others comments about the road noise from Hwy 15 and the abundance of golf carts. We camped at Drummer Boy Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Sill's Family Campground, Adamstown, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is an older park and the owners are working to improve it. Most of the sites are well shaded and prevent satellite reception. WiFi was available at no additional charge. Cable TV was available at an extra charge. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Our site was a long double back to back site that was turned into one site to handle our 43' motorhome. We stayed for a week and would use this campground again for short visits to the area. We camped at Sill's Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Nashville East / Lebanon KOA (formerly Countryside Resort), Lebanon, Tennessee

Date of Stay: May, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Staff for this campground is very friendly and attentive. Campground is kept clean and orderly. Many of the sites are tree shaded and satellite reception varies from site to site. We used this campground for a rally of about 10 rigs and the staff worked to get us in close proximity. There was a large covered outdoor area that served us well for meals and general gatherings. Navigating the interior roads with our 43' motorhome was tight on some of the turns. I would use this campground again for overnight stays and as a base to visit Nashville - approximately 30 miles away. We camped at Nashville East / Lebanon KOA (formerly Countryside Resort) in a Motorhome.

I-30 Travel Park, Benton, Arkansas

Date of Stay: April, 2008 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Park is clean and maintained well. Pull through sites in the back are long and level. We had no trouble navigating the interior roads and site with our 43' rig. Site was open with good satellite reception. While just off I-30, we were not bothered by road noise. We will continue to use this campground for overnight stays. We camped at I-30 Travel Park in a Motorhome.

I-35 RV Park, Waco, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2008 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

We use this campground for overnights stays. Park staff is friendly and the park is kept clean. Most sites are heavily shaded - not good for satellite reception. Although close to I-35, road noise was not bothersome. Navigating the interior roads with our 43' motorhome was tight and not a major problem. We will continue to use this campground for overnight stays. We camped at I-35 RV Park in a Motorhome.
