Harpers Ferry / Civil War Battlefields KOA, Harpers Ferry, West Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Visited 9/20/2008-9/21/2008. The Greeter was friendly and helpful. Check in was easy. Directions to site #31 was difficult to follow. Ended up on the wrong path. A guide ended up taking us to the site. I don't know what they mean by level sites but I needed 5 lego blocks and everyone in our section had large stacks of wood to level out their rigs(behind the laundry building). The campers across from us (#45?) had an unfriendly pit bull. I only have a 27' TT and a shortbed F150 and was challenged getting out of a pull-through. Someone took out a stake marking a culvert drain pipe. We camped at Harpers Ferry / Civil War Battlefields KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Camp Hatteras RV Resort & Campground, Waves, North Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $85.00
Overall Rating:

Would have earned a 10 except our dogs couldn't take two steps without getting sand spurs in their paws. The Ocean front row was very nice (some folks should pass on karoke though). Spaces were close (side by side) but given the resort area, to be expected. We camped at Camp Hatteras RV Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Shenandoah Hills Campground, Madison, Virginia

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

Small park. The sewer was in the middle which was a stretch for our rear connection. The staff was friendly and during a propane refill the owner cautioned of the bugs clogging up exhaust (refer, Hot water heater). The 30A site (pull though) was level. Pay showers were a first for us. We camped at Shenandoah Hills Campground in a Travel Trailer.
