Maumelle COE, Little Rock, Arkansas

Date of Stay: October, 2008 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful, spacious and well kept park located on the Arkansas River. Just driving into the park takes your breath away. Huge trees provide shade on almost every site. 50 amp and water hookups at each site; dump stations available in the park; no cable TV (you won't miss it), and picnic table with fire pit at almost every site. In the past 5 weeks, we have stayed at more than a dozen parks - Maumelle gets the blue ribbon. We would definitely stay here again and again. We camped here for two days. We camped at Maumelle COE in a Motorhome.

Billings KOA, Billings, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful park with huge trees and lots of space to roam. It's quiet and a short distance to downtown and the west end for plenty of shopping. Our pull-through site had a nice patio, picnic table and swing. Our dog enjoyed every walk we took around the grounds. We stayed here 4 days and would definitely come back. We camped at Billings KOA in a Motorhome.

Amarillo Ranch RV Park, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Large gravel pull-through sites, full hookups and clean grounds. Good areas for dog walking plus two small runs. We took the free limo to The Big Texan restaurant, which was surprisingly good. We would stay here again. We camped at Amarillo Ranch RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rockwell RV Park, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Although this park is conveniently located off I-40, we found the sites to be unkempt and dirty. Our site was littered with old rags, beer bottle caps, fallen branches and lots of leaves. We did get a pull-through site, as requested, but our cable TV connection was on the opposite side of the coach hookups (shared box next door with dual plug ins). The thin strip of grass used for the dog walk is covered with prickly burs which we had to consistently pull out of our dog's paws. OK for an overnight stay, but we would probably not stay here again in the future. We camped at Rockwell RV Park in a Motorhome.
