St. Cloud / Clearwater RV Park, Clearwater, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

The sites are very close, bathrooms are dark and musty smelling. The Wi-Fi was not available at our site. We had reservation for a certain site but they changed it without telling us. Our reservations were made in off-season. Another couple we met and they made reservation the same time we did and they did not have a site when they arrived. The management had over booked the sites; this is bad for business. We have decided we will not stay here again. We camped at St. Cloud / Clearwater RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Buffalo River State Park, Glyndon, Minnesota

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small gem of a State Park, very family friendly. Plenty of families with kids and dogs. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The campground host came around twice a day picking up litter. The swimming area was used by many families and was a short walk. We will plan more trips there. We camped at Buffalo River State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Camp Holiday Resort & Campground, Deerwood, Minnesota

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Nice little campground, some sites seem small and close together. There is a small store but it is close too the end of the season so the stock was low. The showers are clean but need some minor repairs. Everyone one was friendly and the owners seem to have things under control. It is family and pet friendly, plenty for the kids to do. We will stay here again. We camped at Camp Holiday Resort & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Sinclair Lewis Campground, Sauk Centre, Minnesota

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Was a nice city campground on the edge of town. Roads are paved and the sites are grassy and pretty level. The sites are pretty close together. You will get to know the family next to you fast. The bathrooms and showers need some up dating. As long as I could get a full hook up site I will go there again. We camped at Sinclair Lewis Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Leech Lake Rec Area COE, Federal Dam, Minnesota

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We couldn't believe how nice this campground is. The sites are clean and have plenty of room. We stayed in site 6, which is a 3 unit site and a pull through. We camped here with another couple with a trailer. We had plenty of room to put up a screen tent between our campers. Fire wood is not supplied at this campground and is expensive from the launch service (almost $6.00 a bundle). There is a laundry between the shower houses. There are 2 play grounds for the kids. We camped at Leech Lake Rec Area COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Alton RV Park, Galloway, Ohio

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

This was a nice park except the sites very close to each other. The host was very helpful and even informed us where to go in case of a storm. The office is a beautiful 100 plus year old home. This campground was a bit noisy because it was in town. It is good for an over night stay, and we would do it again. We camped at Alton RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Scottyland Camping Resort, Rockwood, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Host was friendly. This is a rowdy bunch. Lots of drinking, lots of golf carts, and traffic in campground. Mostly seasonal people, very few people who were passing through. Too far from turnpike, very hilly road and sharp turns. They said no pit bulls, or rottweilers. First thing we saw was a pit bull and then two rottweilers not tied up. Scary place, will never stop again. We camped at Scottyland Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is one of the nicest campgrounds I have stayed at. Very clean, well arranged, and friendly, quiet place. Great cable TV, not a lot of channels but enough, and clear. We camped at Big Red Barn RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
