Sparks Marina RV Park, Sparks, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $68.00
Overall Rating:

Visited during Street Vibration. Plenty of room for my 34' motorhome pulling motorcycle trailer plus rental car. Very clean. Close to freeway, downtown Reno was only minutes away. Staff very professional, friendly and accommodating. It was a pleasure staying at this facility. We camped at Sparks Marina RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tuolumne Meadows Campground (NPS Campground), Yosemite National Park, California

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Access roads were in pretty rough condition for my 34’ motorhome. Camp sites are not well marked and sometimes difficult to define. Campground is very rustic. Be ready to implement more than normal setup for larger rigs. Noted smaller motorhomes were very popular and moved around easier. 80% of motorhomes in parks are rentals this time of year. Be prepared for inexperienced and sometimes aggressive motorhome operators. Campground definitely not large motorhome friendly. While campground environment was average, the Yosemite National Park's awesomeness is truly beyond belief. I will return but possibly staying in a RV facility on edge of park and day tripping into Yosemite. We camped at Tuolumne Meadows Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Harbor Village RV Park, Newport, Oregon

Date of Stay: October, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Park seemed older. Sites kind of funky. All prime sites are occupied with full timers. Tight campsites, steep hills, no room for tables. "10 minute" walk to old town is more like 30 minutes, but not bad. It took about hour to find site that was usable with our std..RV. Confusion in office about site services. We camped at Harbor Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Bonanza Terrace RV Park, Reno, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

Problems and excuses galore. I registered 5 months in advance for three nights because of large motorcycle ride-in event that sells out entire Reno/Sparks Nevada at $51.00 per night. My credit card was charged immediately. We drove 500 miles to Reno event expecting adequate accommodations. Upon arrival they had only a space that was 10 feet too short for my 36 ft. RV, or an unimproved site that included services but was not level. After setting, up we noticed lots of dog waste, where full-timers in park had allowed animals to do their thing. Every other park in town was sold out by this time or we would have definitely moved. Our only option was to drive 500 miles back home missing the ride-in. We opted to stay under the circumstances. Due to animal stuff we removed our shoes before entering our RV. The park had a very nice space sitting vacant across the way and when asked why we couldn't stay there, we were told that a party was coming in two nights and because of expected party’s very large RV size she was NOT going to put them out on the street. The space sat vacant for two nights and when they arrived that Saturday, the 5th wheel was no larger than ours when I stepped it off, and would have fit in our site just fine. That was the last straw. I will never be back to this park again and would not recommend this park to anyone, Good Sam Club or not. All we asked was we get what we bargained for, and what we got was excuses and NOT what we bargained for. My wife and I were the looser and when expressing our disappointment, the manager felt we should be more flexible. Would you? We camped at Bonanza Terrace RV Park in a Motorhome.
