Lordsburg KOA, Lordsburg, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

For KOA parks, this falls into the "basic" category. It would serve only as a overnight stop RV park and does not live up to the Kamper experience that is the hallmark of the KOA. The staff person was a bit curt when we checked in and didn't tell us that the pool was closed. That would have been nice to know since it was 98 degrees and we were all ready to cool off. I think I would stay here again if we were in a bind, but I do think I would drive another hour or so to the next RV park. We camped at Lordsburg KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Carlsbad KOA, Carlsbad, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

This was a nice place to spend 2 days in the Carlsbad area. It is a 40 minute drive to Carlsbad Caverns and 55 minute drive to Roswell. Although the park is 13 miles out of town, that just provided a quiet retreat and ability to watch the stars of the summer sky! The pool, laundry and store facilities were top notch. We would stay here again! We camped at Carlsbad KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Texas RV Park of Big Spring, Big Spring, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

The rate reflects the Good Sam Discount. The gravel sites were level, although not much shade here. We stayed only 1 night but if we were going to stay longer, I would have looked for something with more shade. The pool was closed but the staff did tell me when I made the reservation. Food/shopping/fuel were all a close distance away from the park. The sites can accommodate a large 5th wheel with slides or a Class A. We would stay here again. We camped at Texas RV Park of Big Spring in a Fifth Wheel.

Treetops RV Resort, Arlington, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

This was a very nice RV campground, away from all the noise of the interstate. I used the address listed for my Garmin, which took me off the freeway to Bowen Rd, then to the RV park. I got worried once I started driving down a residential street, but no worry the address is correct. The sites were large enough for Class A's with slides. The laundry room was immaculate, $1.25 wash/$1.00 dry. All of the sites were shaded, which helps with the higher temperatures in the area. The staff was very helpful and even though I arrived after the office was closed, a brochure was posted that had my name and site# listed. We would stay here again! We camped at Treetops RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This was a great place to camp! We were treated like guests from the beginning. The staff was first rate, the sites were level and could accommodate larger units with multiple slides. The campground is close to all of the sights in Branson and we will be sure to stay here again. We camped at Branson KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Natural Bridge / Lexington KOA, Natural Bridge, Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the most beautiful RV parks we have stayed at. The staff was great, the store was well stocked and you could tell the owners took pride in the park. I was initially concerned about how level my site would be after driving up the road to the office, however once on my site, #79 all was good. I have a 40' rig with 4 slides and had no problem parking or opening the slides. We will be back again! We camped at Natural Bridge / Lexington KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

St Paul East RV Park, Woodbury, Minnesota

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

A jewell of a RV park in the St Paul area! Sites were level and a wide variety of sites accommodated many types of RV's. Friendly and professional staff met all of our needs during Memorial Day weekend. We were met when we first pulled in, took care of the registration and then were escorted to our site. This was a very safe place to stay and our kids enjoyed the large pool and playground. Only drawback would be the length to the sewer connection. For those RV's with mid-coach drops, you might an extra section of sewer hose to make the connection. We will come back again! We camped at St Paul East RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Pipestone RV Campground, Pipestone, Minnesota

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This was a very nice RV park and the price was just right. Staff was very friendly and helpful and provided an escort to our site. 50 amp service was good, however due to the high number of campers in the park the water pressure was quite low at times. The kids had a fun time in the pool and visiting the local area. We would stay here again! We camped at Pipestone RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Suncrest RV Resort, Moses Lake, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We have enjoyed staying here on all of our trips to Eastern Washington. The 3 pools and hot tub are a hit for kids and adults! If you have a larger 5th wheel or Class A, you will need to use the pull through sites, as the lower sites can be a bit dicey to back into, especially if the park is full. The staff is helpful and friendly. We will be back again soon. We camped at Suncrest RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Alderwood RV Express, Mead, Washington

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice park for a one night stay, due to the close proximity of downtown Spokane. I have camped in over 30 states and these sites by far are the narrowest. I have a 39 foot 5th wheel with 4 slides and it was difficult to pull in, park and then pull out. The indoor pool was a nice option as well as the laundry facilities. The men's restroom was not clean and was reported to the management. I wouldn't stay here again. We camped at Alderwood RV Express in a Fifth Wheel.

Missoula KOA, Missoula, Montana

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Overall very nice park and centrally located in Missoula. 2 good playgrounds for the kids, good water & power hookups. Sites also have 2 sewer hookups which is also a plus. Only drawback was the laundry was only open during office hours (8a-8p), so if you arrive late in the evening you can't do the laundry. We would stay here again. We camped at Missoula KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Shelby Country Inn & RV Park, Shelby, Iowa

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

At first the RV park looked good; all spots out in the open and no trees. However, after several days of rain, the main RV park was a bog. The owner/staff didn't bother to tell me they had 10 other spots on asphalt behind the hotel, until I came back to the office. It was a good thing I had a 4 wheel drive truck or I would still be at the RV park. I would imagine the RV park would work for a 1 night stay during the summer months, but due to the non-existent customer service I would not come back again. We camped at Shelby Country Inn & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Belvidere East / Exit 170 KOA, Midland, South Dakota

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This was an outstanding KOA. Even though the park was not officially open until May 1st, the owners allowed us to stay on site. The sites were level, had good water/electric/cable, and the area was quiet. We would stay here again. We camped at Belvidere East / Exit 170 KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

D & W Lake Camping and RV Park, Champaign, Illinois

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park for the price. Staff friendly and guided me to RV spot. The sites are a little closer then we have had before, but again we didn't find that to be a problem. Small playground for the kids. A fishing/swimming pond is adjacent to the RV park. 1 washer/dryer, $1.25 per load. We don't have satellite, but did receive a few HD channels. We would stay here again. We camped at D & W Lake Camping and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Indian Springs Campground, North Bend, Ohio

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We were glad to find this park on short notice. It worked well for a quick, overnight stay. The staff was friendly, the park was quiet and the sites were level and wide. No cable, but our HD TV worked well with a few local stations. We would stay here again. We camped at Indian Springs Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
