Overall, this campground is nice. The people working here are extremely nice and helpful, and the sites are adequate. They did have a small little patch of faux grass for the dog, good cable, nice long pull throughs and so-so Wi-Fi. That being said, there was a strange stench in the air. Didn't smell like sewer, but did have a farm animalish smell, yet we didn't see any farm animals. This is our second time to stay here due to the ease of getting to it from the highway, plus they have a fantastic gift shop that would make the nicest boutique's jealous. We would stay here again.

This was an excellent KOA. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. Sites were level, great Wi-Fi, good cable and super amenities. Putt Putt golf course on site, several fenced dog parks, they serve breakfast and pizza each day between Memorial Day and Labor Day (we missed it by a week); pool, cleanest restrooms I've ever seen; playground. Very nice and we would definitely stay there again!

Nice campground. The Pros: Wooded, quiet, great Wi-Fi, cable and amenities. Cons: Easy to miss on highway, our spot was difficult to get out of. The owner is a nice man who takes you to your site and helps set up. He also helps, if you need it, to get out of your space. We had difficulty maneuvering around trees, rocks, trucks, etc. But our space was nice and wooded, level and very quiet. If coming from Durango, go through 1st Pagosa Springs town, past lake, down a steep hill and they are located at bottom of hill on left. Its an accident waiting to happen, very dangerous intersection. But we would definitely stay here again!!

This is our second stay at this park and we really like it. It is close to downtown, all pads are concrete, level, the staff are very nice, and accommodating. However, we did use an RV service to find an electrical short in our motorhome which turned out to be a simple loose connection. This Mobile RV Service took 4 hours to find the problem and charged us $400. We felt like we had been taken to the cleaners. So although the KOA is very very good, do not use Mobile RV Service for anything. This 1-man shop is not that knowledgeable, otherwise, it would not have taken him 4 hours to fix a simple problem. We would definitely stay here again and definitely would not use this man ever again.

This is truly a beautiful RV park and convenient. Like the previous comment, it is easy to miss if you're not paying attention and there is quite a bit of road construction in and around the park, however, it stopped and started at a decent hour. Also like a previous comment stated, it can be tight for big rigs. I know this from experience as I bumped the passenger side mirror on a tree and knocked it off getting into our spot. First time that has ever happened. They put the trees on the road side of both pulling in and pulling out of each spot. In a motorhome, it can be difficult to make the proper swing into your spot. However, we did pick up a card of a RV service tech that came out immediately, ordered the part from Monaco, had it next day shipped and within 24 hours, we had a new mirror and he only charged us $50.

POSITIVES: Convenient to highway; had all necessities (cable TV, 50 amp, good water pressure, WiFi) and fairly level. NEGATIVES: WEED CITY. The first day we were here, I spent picking the weeds out of our site's gravel, just so it looked better. Although we were in a motorhome, we chose a back-in spot in the very back of the park for more privacy and a little bit of grass for the dog. If possible, pick the back-in spot at the very rear, far left side. Best spot in the park. Mostly gravel park and this town is dead. There is very, very, very, did I mention VERY little to do in this town. We also thought we were closer to the Tetons and Yellowstone and found the dirt road the prior comment told about. We decided to try that road cause it looked like a shortcut, but 5 miles up it, we ran across a guy who said a grizzly bear had just been in the road. We turned around and went the long way home. This park would be fine for overnight only. Do Not Stay Here as a halfway point to Yellowstone and Tetons. You will regret it.

We almost didn't stay here due to the previous reviews, but we found this park to be very well maintained. Our grass was cut and we had a nice spot across from a flowing stream. Down side is there is no sewer hookups, cable TV, our satellite didn't work here and we were unable to get any local TV stations out of Billings, but we really didn't miss it. Although the pull-through wasn't quite long enough for our 38' motorhome along with our 12' trailer, we were able to put our trailer across the road (not sure we were suppose to, though). We would definitely stay here again.

What a gem of a place to stay! The people at the office couldn't have been nicer and more helpful, the spaces weren't too close together, had a firepit for a campfire, and our satellite and antenna worked great. We had no problem with the WiFi, although some of the people further away from the office did. This park is right next door to the nicest city parks I have ever seen. There is a fish hatchery that is incredible right next door as well. There is a stream/creek running along the edge of the property where tent campers can set up and there is a large stream running along the other side for larger RV's to back up to. This is one of the cleanest and nicest little towns and we just couldn't get over how beautifully maintained everything was. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

What an awesome park this was! I felt like we were staying in a State Park with cable TV! This park is very wooded, close to town yet secluded, plenty of shade to sit out and be out of the sun with a firepit. We feel blessed to have been able to stay here! They had plenty of things for kids to do, lots of area walk in and close to everything in Custer. I can't think of anything this park could do differently to make itself better. We would definitely stay here again.

The park itself was not bad at all, was great for a stop over. Here's the bad: CRICKETS and GRASSHOPPERS. They were EVERYWHERE and if you have a phobia about these critters like I do, you tend to spend a great deal of time inside. There wasn't a whole lot the campground could do about that, but just letting you know. Very few trees, unlevel gravel spaces. Here's the Good. Plenty of water pressure, good cable TV and easy on and off the interstate. Word of warning: When pulling out of your pull-through space, take it slow as there is a HUGE curb you must go over and it will toss you around like a rag doll. It provided for most of our needs.

We stayed here for two weeks right on the river. Had a beautiful view with deer, bear and elk coming right up to your RV. The hosts were incredibly nice and accommodating. The entrance is a little tricky in that you must go over a pretty rough "curb" pulling into the park. It will shake everything in your coach, so take it slow. Its a fairly steep hill down to the river sites, so if you need to unhook a toad, do it either by the office or at the bottom of the hill. WiFi worked well even though we were as far away from the office as we could be and the cable TV was very good. Site was a little tricky backing into, but not impossible.

This is our third time to stay here and we have never been disappointed. We love the close proximity to town (walking distance), the hosts are the BEST hosts we have ever encountered. They not only help each and every guest into their spot, they have been known to back your rig in for you if you need them to. This is our absolute favorite campground to stay in and we have been all over the US.

This is our second time to stay here for an overnight stay. Very nice and clean park, with LONG pull-through's, great cable TV, WiFi, and lady at front desk was very accommodating. There is a creek that runs along side of the campground as well. Appears to have some full timers living here, however, they are in a completely different section of the park and are hardly noticeable. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice, convenient little campground. It's pushing it to say they have WiFi; yes, they do have it, but they don't want you using it. Upon checking in, we were told we could use the WiFi to check mail, but no downloading, etc., or they would cut us off. Sure enough, I had used about an hour of WiFi late at night, no downloading, and the next day I was cut off. So, if WiFi isn't a big deal to you, this is a great place to stay. Some of the spots had spectacular views, others were so-so. We have Verizon phone service and there was absolutely NO service whatsoever here. Owners were not overly nice, but nice enough, and even cooked a BBQ dinner for guests staying over 4th of July, which was very nice. We would stay here again as a stop-over.

We loved staying here! We were here to see the bluebonnets and wildflowers and, unfortunately, it rained the whole week. But the park was extremely clean, quiet, and the staff very helpful. We had a great view, and the only problem we had was the asphalt gave way on the rear end of the motorhome due to poor asphalt construction and much rain. We literally sunk our rear jack 6" into the asphalt. The motorhome across from us had the same problem and had to move their motorhome forward a couple feet in order to relevel. But, that aside, we would definitely stay here again, and look forward to staying here again!
