Durango KOA, Durango, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Great staff. Pleasant and helpful.

As a tent camper I could not have been happier. I asked for and got the spot closest to the store/showers. It was just about perfect with a nice pad for my tent and tarp. Showers and restroom were spotless with good water pressure.

The view from the west side of the campground is spectacular.

To top it all off, the apple pie and ice cream made the perfect end of day desert.

Excellent WiFi, but I was right next to the store.

If I am ever in the area again I will stay there. We camped at Durango KOA in a Tent.

Mason Creek RV Park, Nampa, Idaho

Date of Stay: October, 2008 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Pulled in after hours and left before opening so don't know about additional amenities. Sites were gravel but level. About half the sites were full-timers, but, were nice and not noisy. Far enough away from Interstate 84 to be relatively quiet. Nice grassy areas around sites and in middle of park. We'd stay there again. Cable TV was good. Could get WiFi but it was spotty. We camped at Mason Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Green River KOA, Green River, Utah

Date of Stay: October, 2008 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Nice little park. Hard packed gravel roads and sites. Good WiFi reception and decent cable in some sites. The owners are in the process of upgrading more of the sites and improving the existing ones. Very nice folks running the place. Good eating right next door as well as close to the river walk. Our fiver is only 23 feet so we could leave it hooked up for our overnight stay. A major weekend destination so make reservations for Friday through Sunday during warmer months. We camped at Green River KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Brigham City / Perry South KOA, Brigham City, Utah

Date of Stay: October, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

TV reception was poor. Sites are simple gravel and dirt. The family that manages the campground lives on site and are friendly and courteous, including their kids. It is an older campground but is great for an overnight stay. It is a bit far from other activities, but, we'd stay here again. View of lake at sunset is pretty. Far enough from I-15 so noise is not an issue. We camped at Brigham City / Perry South KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Escondido RV Resort, Escondido, California

Date of Stay: April, 2008 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Getting in and out of this place was very tight. I had trouble with my little fiver (24'), but, then watched as someone with more experience backed in a 34 footer in one easy shot. This seemed to be a vacation area for those with kids and the grounds were busy. But, everyone quieted down at night. The driveway getting in off the street was steep, narrow, and had a turn in it. Many scars from frames hitting the pavement. I would not plan on staying here again, but, would not avoid it either. We camped at Escondido RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
