Arizona Oasis RV Resort , Ehrenberg, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2006 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We camped there in the winter so our experience may differ from other reviews but we found the park acceptable. Nice access to the beach, beach is rocky and when water level is lower it might be muddy. If you have a boat or jet ski you can put in right here and find a sandy beach on the river. Wifi is $15/week but some sites can bootleg a signal from the trailer park next door. All roads are dirt and gravel, all sites are gravel. Can be dusty - no signs of the park using dust control measures - but speed limit is 5 MPH. Park rules prohibit use of ATVs or dirt bikes in park. We camped at Arizona Oasis RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Palm Springs / Joshua Tree KOA (formerly Desert Pools RV Resort), Desert Hot Springs, California

Date of Stay: February, 2006 - $30.00

Great park. Three mineral hot spas, water volleyball games in pool every day. Nice community center. Negatives, some of the concrete patio slabs had large broken out or cracked areas where you could twist an ankle. We camped at Palm Springs / Joshua Tree KOA (formerly Desert Pools RV Resort) in a Fifth Wheel.

Belle Campground (NPS Campground), Twentynine Palms, California

Date of Stay: February, 2006 - $5.00
Overall Rating:

Stunning high desert beauty. Great sunsets and sunrises. No services. Fill your water tank and go Boondocking. Plenty of space for our 39' fifth wheel & truck. There are several sites with plenty of room for big rigs. There is a turn around at the far end. Costs $10 to get into the park (going up to $15 soon) and $5 to camp. No water. So quiet at night its unreal. We camped at Belle Campground (NPS Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

29 Palms Golf Resort, Twentynine Palms, California

Date of Stay: February, 2006 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park but its all sand. Wireless internet was not functioning to 1/2 the park due to some equipment malfunction. TV is non existent unless you have a dish. Very close to Joshua Tree NP so it was handy for us. Used PA at $15/nite. We had no problems with our 39' fiver and would stay there again if necessary but Not being golfers there are limited attractions there for us. We camped at 29 Palms Golf Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

River Reflections RV Park & Campground, Oroville, California

Date of Stay: January, 2006 - $25.00

Not worth $25 for winter camping. For that price I'd expect wireless internet and/or Cable TV. We camped at River Reflections RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Pyramid Lake RV Resort, Gorman, California

Date of Stay: January, 2006 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Poorly maintained, cable TV is a joke - unusable, $2 & $3 surcharge for 30 and 50 Amp Electric Service, trash left to blow around, weeds, puncture weed everywhere. They did honor our PA Membership so our 2 day stay was 1/2 price. New owners are aware of numerous deficiencies but seem to be under the impression they will fix themselves with no effort on their part. Definitely not worth $35/night. We camped at Pyramid Lake RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
