Tiffin Motorhomes Service Area (For Service Customers Only), Red Bay, Alabama

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We were there for the same reason everyone else was. The full hooks up worked well. The people were all friendly. I enjoyed walking around and seeing the various coaches. I also enjoyed the "elephant walk" at 6:45 as all of the coaches went to their assigned service bays. We camped at Tiffin Motorhomes Service Area (For Service Customers Only) in a Motorhome.

Dumplin Valley RV, Kodak, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Interesting park. Basically an `open field with hook-ups. It is not a destination park but is in an excellent location to tour the surrounding area such as Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The hosts are very friendly. We only stayed overnight but if we were in the area would love to stay again. We camped at Dumplin Valley RV in a Motorhome.

Sweetwater / I-75 / Exit 62 KOA, Sweetwater, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped for overnight. The Park is easy to get to from the interstate. It was very quiet at night. The sites are relative close together but adequate. It is heavily wooded so satellite is out but the shade keeps everything cooler. We camped at Sweetwater / I-75 / Exit 62 KOA in a Motorhome.

Fort Chiswell RV Park, Max Meadows, Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped for an overnight. The park is easy to get to off of the interstate. It is very quiet, thanks to a ridge between the interstate and the park. The staff was professional. Excellent park for my purposes. We camped at Fort Chiswell RV Park in a Motorhome.

Luray KOA (formerly Luray RV Resort Country Waye), Luray, Virginia

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

By far the best KOA I have ever used. We generally try to come here at least once a year starting back when it was Country Waye. I was worried that when it became a KOA it would change but in some ways such as a second pool it is better. If you are looking for quiet, great views and a great location to explore the valley, the valley it is perfect. We camped at Luray KOA (formerly Luray RV Resort Country Waye) in a Motorhome.

Raleigh Oaks RV Resort, Four Oaks, North Carolina

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

As others have said this is an excellent park. It is well laid out for ease of parking access. The staff were all friendly. There are a lot of things to do in the local area including the outlet malls. Be sure not to miss the Bentonville Civil War Battlefield and do the automobile tour. It was outstanding. We camped at Raleigh Oaks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Good location to visit Cooperstown. Far enough off of RT 20 that there is no traffic noise. New owners who are working hard to upgrade the infrastructure. Very friendly. We camped at Cooperstown KOA in a Motorhome.

Luray KOA (formerly Luray RV Resort Country Waye), Luray, Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here before it became part of KOA and I was concerned that there would be major changes. I was happy to discover very little, if any, changes. The grounds are immaculate and well landscaped. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. The scenery is beautiful and it is quiet. It is not a resort with all kinds of activities although it has some; but is a good place to just relax and is a great location to explore the Shenandoah valley. We camped at Luray KOA (formerly Luray RV Resort Country Waye) in a Fifth Wheel.

Elk Neck State Park, North East, Maryland

Date of Stay: November, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is an excellent campground that can handle everything from tents to large motor homes. We stayed in the North East loop which has full hook-ups. By camping late in the year we almost had the campground to ourselves. There are numerous trails and wildlife is everywhere. We could sit in the trailer and watch deer every morning. One word of caution. If your RV is much over 12 ft tall do NOT pull into the lane leading to the check-in booth. You will not clear the overhang and will have to back up about 50 - 75 ft in a 10 ft wide lane with curbs on each side to get to another lane without the overhang. It would help if they placed a height clearance warning sign before the entrance to the check in lane. We camped at Elk Neck State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Luray KOA (formerly Luray RV Resort Country Waye), Luray, Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2009 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This was our second stay at this campground and if anything it was better this year than last. The owners are continuously making improvements and the grounds are spotless. We stayed for a week and every day there were at least two men working on the grounds. The free band concert on Saturday nights is enjoyable, the scenery is beautiful and it is quiet at night. The campground is in an ideal location to tour the surrounding area and see the caverns and the Skyline drive. We camped at Luray KOA (formerly Luray RV Resort Country Waye) in a Fifth Wheel.

Gettysburg Campground, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: November, 2008 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very good park. The sites are big enough for large RVs especially in the sun deck area which are full hook up and have a concrete patio at each site. Many sites are located in the woods, and from the looks, some might be a challenge for a larger RV but would definitely be shaded in the summertime. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Of course this and other area campgrounds are here for use during touring the battlefield, and it is in an ideal location; far enough away to avoid the crowds but still close enough to quickly get to the battlefield. Incidentally the newly opened visitors center is almost worth the trip by itself. We camped at Gettysburg Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Luray KOA (formerly Luray RV Resort Country Waye), Luray, Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2008 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

In 25 years of camping this is the best RV park I have ever stayed in. The grounds are spotless, and the mountain views magnificent. The sites are large and landscaped with bushes and flowers. The layout is unique in that the sites surround a common area that is at least 100 x 300 yards. All sites are graveled and mostly level. The electric, water and sewer connections, at least in my area, are all new . The staff is very friendly and take pride in their park. There is free live entertainment in the common area Saturday nights. The Wi-Fi is excellent in fact I am on it right now. Some might say that there is nothing for kids to do. I disagree; yesterday afternoon into the evening I sat and watched probably 15 to 20 kids of all ages running and "playing" in the common area. No video games, no ipods, no TV, just kids having fun. It was great to watch and reminded me of camping trips in my youth. We camped at Luray KOA (formerly Luray RV Resort Country Waye) in a Fifth Wheel.
