The Park is very pretty. Lake is nasty and the sites are not level. Golf carts and four wheelers go well above the speed limit, which is not enforced. The site was dirty because they don't prep the sites before new campers come. Price is higher than at the beach. Golf, Pool and Slide a run down and old. Expensive considering nothing is free with your stay. Grass wasn't mowed and the fire rings have weeds growing taller than the ring (Not trimmed or maintained well). Roads are nothing but mud, very little gravel no pavement. Motor home had to turn around because hill was to steep and there was no traction to get into spot. Permanent campers made me feel at home and were very helpful. Power keeps going out, you have to keep checking your fridge to make sure its on. The creek has weeds growing all over it, lake is full of algae and the fishing wasn't very good. Half of the lake is only 2 feet deep, needs dredging. Just not worth the money, groceries are ridiculous. They buy them from food lion or Ingles and then jack the price up, you even have to pay for doughnuts. Hay ride has no hay, they use the same trailer for the Hayride and trash pick up. The owner has high hopes for the campground but doesn't realize that the people in the area don't have that kind of money. New trailers that look like cabins, very high and they don't have underpinning on them so they look terrible. Two campers near bath house are old and run down. It needs a lot of work. I won't be back until things are improved. Unhappy camper.

Very nice, small quiet and all spots are on the river. There is lots of wildlife ( Ducks and geese with babies will come to you and let you feed them. We would go again.
