About 50% of the sites here are mostly level. The facilities are getting older. The sites just one row over were without water. The sewer was backed up too. On the plus side, there are plenty of shade trees and a nice club house. The pool was closed for the season. There looked to be a fire ring at most sites. The picnic tables were fair shape. Check in was smooth and they took some money off for Passport America. The wifi here was spotty at times. This place has a few stray cats and a few that belong there. The doggie pick up stations looked in good repair and stocked. They seem to have sites that are more than able to handle any sized rig. The bathrooms were only cleaned 1 time in the 5 days we were there. The trash cans were plentiful throughout the campground. The noise from the rock quarry was noticeable but not to bad. I was surprised to find them working on Sunday. Overall I would return.

This most recent stay was good. The campground area was level, clean, and up to date. There looked to be extra concrete pads put in since our last visit. A person could really stay here year round and never leave the campground. They have everything you can think of. We made use of the basketball courts, the indoor and outdoor pools, the putt-putt course, the beach, the lakes (fishing), several bathhouses, and more. Everything we used was in good repair and good quality. The down side includes the following: This place has almost as many golf carts as people. I noticed several underage drivers. The facilities (although good quality) were lacking. There should be another pool and another basketball area. The beach was wall to wall people with barely enough room to pitch a lawn chair. Lastly, this place has a lot going for it. I will say the areas we used were clean and in good working order.

This campground is a little more like a trailer park. There are concrete pads for each picnic table. There are spacious sites and most are very level. The water, sewer, and electricity worked well. There was enough gravel on each site. The grass was mowed but it could have used some extra weed trimming. The Internet was not working at my site. Granted, they did give me some sort of device that was supposed to boost the signal. The trees here were very small. If you had a large RV you could fit nicely in any spot. The horse shoe pit was overgrown. The playground looked deserted. There was not a pool here. The lake was a long walk away. There was a pond but it was not in service. It looked like it has severe drainage issues. The bathrooms were nice and clean. The showers were huge and clean too. There was a laundromat with plenty of machines. The garbage had to be hauled about a half a mile away. This place bordered TVA land. It was peaceful and quiet. My dog loved the walk to the lake. There was a fire ring at about 80% of the sites. The picnic table was in fair shape. A few areas could use a bit of topsoil. Overall, I would stay here again. But, if you had kids, I would skip Lazy Acers.

This stay was as good as the others. Still the same things jump out such as clean bathrooms and showers. The sites are well taken care of. The overall campground was very clean. Safety is still very good. The staff here even takes the time to cut back a few trees. I saw several trees that had been taken down due to being dead or just in the way. The lack of certain things such as playgrounds, pool, and other such items are of no concern to us.

Our 1st impression was so so. The office was closed (presently). A nice young lady greeted us and showed us to a spot. About every 3rd or 4th site sits a picnic table. There were fire rings about every 4th to 5th site. Most all sites were level. Most of the full hookup sites are occupied by year round folks. They seem to be mostly friendly. This campground has lots of trees, but yet also has some open areas. The grounds needed a good mowing. I saw at least 3 satellite dishes while I was there. There was one very friendly cat and several other cats roaming around the campground. The bathrooms were fairly clean. The laundry area had 2 machines of each and appeared to be in good repair. There was a small donut shop just a short walk away. The Walmart was just a short walk (about one half mile) away too. Noise from the road was minimal. The Wi-Fi worked well. There is not a pool or any playground equipment. Overall, this place is ok. For the price this place rocks!

Great place with a campground to boot. The site B3 was mostly level and offered good shade. The fire pit was clean and the grass was mowed. Overall, the place was in wonderful shape. The bathhouses were clean. The staff or hosts were nice. We will be returning soon.

Another good stay here! This campground rocks! We stayed here for a week and wanted to stay for 4 weeks. The sites are mostly level and the bathhouses are very clean. Safety rates very high as we seen park rangers several times during our stay. This campground had 3 hosts. Plus, this campground has group camping areas. There was a huge group here and the park facilities served them and us well. We will return to the campground.

This place rocks! My 1st impression is a good one. When you drive into the park you are covered by a lush green canopy. Yes, there are a host of trees here. Most campsites are shaded. I only recall seeing one satellite dish the entire time we where there. There is no cable and very few golf carts. The camp hosts were all friendly. The nature programs were fantastic and there was loads of other planned activates for kids. There are several playgrounds areas and plenty of direct beach access. Most sites are level and all have a picnic table. The bathhouses were mostly clean. Watch out for snakes and other wild critters. The coons are smart and they will find a way into your cooler. The interior roads are all blacktopped but not the sites. The camp store had a good variety of items. The pier was nice and the store there stocked most all the fishing items one might need. Plus, they serve Blue Bell ice cream. The state park staffs were friendly, too. The forest trails were well kept. The mosquitos will eat you alive here. Overall, I will rate this place a strong 8.

We camped in B9 this time. This makes about our 5 or 6th time camping here. This place rocks! The sites are mostly level. Each site has a fire pit and a picnic table. Rows B and C have electric while the rest of the rows do not. There is not much to do here except camp. The bathhouses were spotless. The restrooms were clean and serviceable. Security is rated good and the camp hosts are friendly. Be careful bringing kids here. There is not much for them to do unless you travel to other parts of the park. The overall park was clean and well thought out.

The campground itself was awesome. It might be easier to tell you what it did not have rather than what it had. While we were there we played horse shoe, shuffle board, basket ball, football, pool, air hockey, and swam in the indoor pool and the outdoor pool. The campsites were laid out well. They had these freshwater well stations. Yes, you could have unlimited well water while you are there. Many of the sites had concrete pads. The bathhouses were clean and very nice. The camp store stocked a lot of items. They were only overpriced by about 10% or so. They had a small short order grill and they had a putt putt course. There were plenty of beach access points. The one drawback for me is the golf carts. We were there in the off season. In season, there would be too many of them. Lastly, the nature center was neat as was the overlook area. The overlook area had a great view of the ocean. This is a wonderful place in the off season.

Yet another GREAT stay here at this campground. This time we were in site B5. The neighbors were fantastic and the weather was perfect. The fire ring served us well. The picnic table was well placed and in good repair. The bathhouses were fully functional and very clean. We were only going to stay for 4 days and ended up staying for 8 days. Great place!

This place is going in the wrong direction. The bad include a picnic table that needed tossed, rules and rules and rules and rules for the use of the pool (and every thing else too). The posted price for this place is $40 (plus tax) a night. The sites have a desperate need of attention. The lack of gravel and updates on the electric box are very near future issues. Be careful of the electric. There is only 30 amp here in this campground. The good include location to the interstate, the pool (nice but watch out for the RULES), and the pond. The pond was neat. It was catch and release and was super! There were two other smaller ponds and all of them had a great spray in the middle of them. The neutral include level sites for the most part and the water. This park does have wifi, horseshoe pits, a playground, put put, and a pavilion. The pavilion is nice too. There is a storage lot right next door to this place. It does make for some traffic in the park. The bathhouses here need attention. They are dated and are in need of updating. They were looked at while we were here but not cleaned. I noticed the trash was never emptied the entire time we were here. The showers were not cleaned. The management here lacks. They have these rules and they are very picky about them. The price I paid was $29 a night. It was not worth the money I paid. I am uncertain if I will stay here again.

One of my 1st impressions was wow! The check in process went super fast. The entrance was a bit on the tight side. The salt water pool was cool, fresh and clean. The hot tub was hot and in good operational order. The fencing around the campground leads one to have an overall safe feeling. One huge positive or negative is the abundance of cats in the campground. I counted at least 8-10 of them. Most are friendly but they do leave their droppings behind in odd places. The owners go out of their way to be of assistance for you. The camper next door forgot his water hose and they came right out with one. The shuttle to the French Quarter was fast and efficient. The cost to go there and back was $5 each way. We gave them a call and they were right back to pick us up. This campground has a picnic table at every site. However, there are no fire rings. They have this gazebo near the pool that is great for just sitting around and talking with others. Most all sites were very level. The electricity, water and sewer worked fine. The Wi-Fi worked magnificently and I never lost a signal. The cable TV worked according to others. We did not use it. Insects were not a problem here at all. There are not too many trees here. There are several fruit trees and a small garden near the dumpster. There were security lights at night although they are not really needed. There is a small restaurant just a block away. I was told they have decent food. The bus runs right by the campground. The city noise did not brother us too much. The only 2 reasons I would not give this place a 10 is the cats (droppings) and the need for more shade trees. Lastly, I would stay here all over again.

The price is right! The location is outstanding! The sites are mostly level. But, the bathhouse is in dire need of updating. They have brought in more porta potties to help with the bathroom issues. For the size of this great park they could use some more. Plus, there is an enormous goose problem here. I counted at least 50-60 of them. They leave behind their droppings and it makes for a mess. The electric seemed to work well. This site (33) has water but we just used out on-board water. The dump station is located a good bit from the campground. The lake (Nickajack) is very tempting. There is a boat launch just about one third of a mile from the sites. There is not a pool or picnic tables here. Cable or Wi-Fi is not available. There does seem to be a fire ring or pit in almost every site. Plus, there are an abundance of trash cans located everywhere. This did help with the cleanliness of the park. The manager was friendly and has been there a long time. I would stay here again based on the price and the location. And, this is a great place to stop overnight. However, based on the geese and other factors I must give this place a 6.

It is heartrending to say but this park maybe should be called a trailer park. From the looks of it about 95% of the campers there are long term campers. I even saw a wheelchair ramp on at least 2 of them! The spot we stayed on was mostly level. It was a concrete pad with hookup off to the side. There was plenty of space between the other sites. There were no trees in the area we were in. Sadly, there were few trees in the other areas too. There was a slime covered pond with a few bullfrogs; however, the area we were in had no way of accessing it. I will say the bathhouse was clean and up to date. There was plenty of hot water. There was a laundry area right with the bathhouse. I counted 4 washers and 4 dryers. There was a book exchange in the lobby and the owner was nice enough. There was a small pool right beside the lobby. The dog run was small but was near a tree so the dogs were in some shade. There was not a place for people to sit down in the dog run. There was an abundance of dust here. The electric seemed to work well. We did not try the internet or the water here. Overall the price we paid was way too much for the service we received.
