I was very impressed with how nice the staff was to me . The park was meticulously maintained and my 4 day stay was very pleasant. It was midweek mostly so it was quiet but I am sure it gets busy on the weekends. My 8 year old son had a blast and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for some river fun the tubes or river rafting on the american river is the biggest draw for the campground. The playground and swimming pool was just an added bonus. Nice place , friendly staff. You just can't go wrong here. PS: bring tubes, life jackets or water gear before you get there, because it is a fast moving river and little kids will get swept away. So unless you have a teenager with a life jacket and probably even a helmet for the rapids, you should really keep the little ones in the pool. The purchase of gear, while you're here, is costly.

For a family campground it doesnt get any better than this. Nice people KIDS EVERYWHERE lots of fun: swim in the river , horseshoes, ping-pong, volleyball, basketball, kids playground; it is the ideal FAMILY campground. Tighter than the normal rv park with a 31' 5er (50' overall). It is the forest type rustic feel campground, grocery store, and doctor within 2 miles of the park which we have used 3 times with sick kids :( We have been camping here since 1998 and it hasn't changed a bit. Undiscovered with most RV'ers, but tenters and tent trailers are everywhere. Reserve EARLY for holiday weekends.

Nice wooded type spots with friendly staff . Easy access to camping spots with a big rig and had a great time with our 5 y/o at their new playground!!!
