This park is an easy access from Wray. It is a very clean and well maintained RV park. There are some long term residents. The showers are pay. The current owners have sold the park and we were told that the new owners intend to continue operations. There is some road and train noise, but a fan muffled it for us.

This town was devastated by a tornado spring of 2014 and has come back amazingly. The campground now has 50 amp service but the pool and tennis court are currently closed. We did not use the restrooms but they are functional and were cleaned the morning we were there. The grounds and each site are on well maintained grass. Even though there was a lot of rain during the night, the sites were high enough to stay dry. We would recommend staying here as a great overnight spot. Payments are by donation - they need it.

The rate reflects a senior discount. We really liked this campground. We were not on the water but had a very comfortable, shady, and level spot near the restrooms. The hosts checked on us regularly and even with the campground mostly filled, it was very quiet. The restrooms and showers were spotless. We will be back to this campground.

The first site we were put in had trees and bushes that rubbed up against the motor home without the slides extended and we would not have been able to use our awning. We asked for a second site. Both sites were VERY uneven and we were not able to level. The cable connections were shared requiring us to use 40 feet of cable. The internet quit working on the second day. The showers and restrooms were clean but old. The managers were not quick in responding to emails in setting up our reservation (they responded to our friends questions 1 day after our friends left). There is quite a bit of noise from the freeway. Finally, we stepped in dog poop just as we were leaving our site. We will NOT stay here again.

We had a wonderful 12 day stay at Cherry Hill Park. The staff were fantastic and very helpful - especially with planning our visits to Washington DC attractions. Their service was the best we have ever had. Our rate reflects a military discount. Our RV site was roomier than we expected with a gravel pad, picnic area (other sites had brick picnic areas) and well cared for grass. We enjoyed having several campfires using their very reasonably priced campfire wood which they delivered to our site. The facilities were immaculate and we especially enjoyed the spa and pool. The restrooms were sparkly clean and the showers were very roomy. We found the store to be well stocked and with a better variety than most parks. We were disappointed with the noise from the highway, but that was not unexpected (this is what resulted in a lower rating). We will return but ask for a site with more protection from the noise although it did eventually become "background noise". Finally, the proximity to Washington DC and the many different modes of transportation available right at the park to go sightseeing make Cherry Hill the perfect place to stay when in the area. We highly recommend this park.

Our rate reflects 5 days at Passport America rates and 2 days with a military discount. This park was quiet and very comfortable. The owners were exceptionally friendly and said hello daily. The pool was heated, but still cool and there are many pieces of outdoor playground equipment for children. The campground was central to many of the wineries and close to several state parks that we toured. We will return to this campground.

This is a nicely landscaped campground (split between areas across the street from each other) but it really needs upgrading. The manager was friendly, helpful and shared from his garden! We received coupons for the local casino for a 2 for 1 dinner and free casino play. The bathrooms were dated but OK. Even though the campground really needs work, the manager makes it a great place to stop. We would consider returning.

This is a gem of a campground. It is peaceful and quiet. The restrooms and showers were very clean. The showers were quite large however one shower was not working in the women's restroom. There were deer, turkeys and many birds around. The pool was still open although not heated. There is Wi-Fi available in the laundry room and it worked great. We will return when we are in the area.

This is an average park. Internet and cable worked great but the hot tub was not working. We had deer walk through the site next to us and we could hear the sea lions. It was easy in and out. It was a bit of a walk down the road to get to the state park trails. We would camp here again.

Beautiful campground with super wide sites that had room for slide outs, awnings, our car and the picnic table! Great location for going to Hell's gate, rafting and general sightseeing. We were going to stay one night and after seeing the campground stayed for three. Great owners who take pride in the campground, were very friendly and also helpful in pointing out things to see and do. Wi-Fi was weak to begin with but they worked to resolve the issue. Easy in and out with some road noise that was minimal by early evening. We will stay here again.

Great campground. Located just 5 miles from 16 and has easy access. Beautiful mountain and river views everywhere. Quiet and a great relief from the gravel lots further north. Women's showers were not working, but the bathrooms were very nice. We had good internet and several local television stations. We will stay here when we are in the area again.

This campground was a refreshing change from the "parking lots" we had been in. Grass at almost every site, incredibly gorgeous views, and staff that were friendly, helpful and so very nice. We stayed a week and then extended for a few more days because we liked it so much. They helped us to arrange a fishing trip and a visit to Katmai. They even helped us to find the best value by making calls for us!!! We will stop here ANY time were are near and may come back specifically to stay here. We just loved it.

Way too crowded. We had little space to park our motor home, much less the car. With revised space allotment, it could be a very nice park. Coin-operated showers, fabulous view and an easy drive to Denali Parks. Unfortunately, because of spacing, we will not stay here again.

Date of Stay:

Our only complaint was the weak WiFi. We could only get on late at night or early morning. Otherwise, this was a nice quiet place in a beautiful, riverside setting. We will stay here again.

Nice park on the Toad River. Easy in an out pull-through sites. Beautiful setting. We watched a bull moose across the river for several hours at night and then a cow moose in the morning. WiFi worked only inside the building. The staff person did not seem to understand English when we were trying to pick out a site. She also provided no directions on how to enter the camping area.
