Desert Willow RV Park, Van Horn, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

This was a great basic overnight or couple of night campground. There is a bit of noise from the Interstate and the trains. The bathrooms were immaculate and looked newly tiled. The site was a nice level gravel pull through. We camped at Desert Willow RV Park in a Motorhome.

Alpine Village RV Park, Alpine, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This seems to be a basic campground with fantastic owners. Our site was a bit uneven but the owner was there to help us out. The laundry and bathroom were immaculate. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Even the light dusting of snow was fun. We camped at Alpine Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Silver City RV Park, Silver City, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a week and enjoyed a weekly rate. This is a great park located close to the historic downtown. The sites were close on one side and spacious on the other. It was clean with a new table, a cute picket fence and friendly neighbors. There are some long term residents who are also friendly. The restrooms and showers were IMMACULATE and nicely decorated. The office staff helped to direct us to the many restaurants and places to see in the area. The store/cafe in the office has fresh brewed coffee, some pastries, newspapers and change for the laundry. We camped at Silver City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sun Valley RV Resort (formerly Root 66 RV Park), Sun Valley, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

This is an ok overnight park. The traffic noise from I40 is significant. It was a good base for visiting the Petrified Forest. The bathrooms and showers were not working while we were here. The wifi was sporadic and unusually not working. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We camped at Sun Valley RV Resort (formerly Root 66 RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Canyon de Chelly National Monument, Cottonwood Campground, Chinle, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

We loved this park. It was convenient to touring Canyon de Chelly. It was so quiet at night we could hear the owls. The sites were paved, level with lots of separation. The park was very empty this time of year. Given the proximity to the park, we thought it was a great value. Our Hopi guide picked us up at out site so we did not have to drive to the business location. We camped at Canyon de Chelly National Monument, Cottonwood Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There are many different types of tours are available right at the park: Jeep, Suburban, horseback, and hiking. Nearby is Hubble Trading Post (30 miles south of the park). There are no hookups but the trade off is that this location is less expensive and quiet.

Cochiti Lake COE , Pena Blanca, New Mexico

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

This park was very convenient to many activities in the area. The restrooms were fairly clean but could be better. Our site (55) was not very level and we needed our pads to bring in up quite a bit. However, the view was beautiful. The hosts and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. We camped at Cochiti Lake COE in a Motorhome.

There are many things to see in the area including touring Santa Fe. There is the Scandia Peak Tram ride in Albuquerque (we suggest the sunset tour), Valles Caldera National Preserve, Bandelier National Monument, Jemez Springs, The Turquoise Trail, The Scandia Crest Drive (can be rough but beautiful) and many other beautiful back road drives. We also sampled many of the casinos in the area.

Riana Abiquiu Lake COE, Abiquiu, New Mexico

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful park with incredible views of the reservoir and mountains from almost any site. The even sites in the Pedernal (electric and water) Loop are non-reservable. However, you need to check in with the Hosts and get on the waiting list. Site number one in this loop is the best! There are many hiking trails throughout the area. Verizon service was good and excellent satellite reception. There is hiking, swimming, fishing, touring and shopping in the area. We camped at Riana Abiquiu Lake COE in a Motorhome.

Beaver Lake Campground, Quincy, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We choose this spot as an easy overnight stay while we traveled the freeway. Check in was easy, but there were a few cars "hanging around" the gas station. We decided against using any of the restrooms based on previous reviews and what the building looked like from the outside. Our site was grass with a shared hookup but the neighbor was not using the electric. There was quite a bit of traffic noise. We camped at Beaver Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Whisper Creek RV Resort (55+ park), LaBelle, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed a complimentary 4 day stay by attending the Fort Myers RV Show. We had a wonderful stay with time spent in the pool, playing bingo and watching the multitude of activities that were taking place as a result of a week long celebration of the park and its residents! The restrooms and showers were beautifully redone and very up-to-date. There was a problem with the water that you were not informed about until you drove out the entrance. Because of the rain, many of the sites were muddy grass because of the soft dirt. The staff and the residents were friendly and welcoming. It was a joy to stay here. We camped at Whisper Creek RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

LaBelle Woods Resort, LaBelle, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This older campground seems to be slowly deteriorating. Sites can be close or very spaced. Landscaping is neglected. The best part of this campground are the wonderful residents. There was no activity in the Chiki-Hut and few other activities. The Shuffleboard court is in sad shape with cracks and weeds growing through the court. The hot tub was a nice 102 degrees, but had lots of leaves in it. The pool was never above 72 degrees and usually empty. The was a problem with the water, and we had to find out from the neighbor not to drink it. We should have been informed by management The roads in the park are deteriorating and in need of repairs. Our site had a shared access with two other sites. The monthly rate was $730. We will not return. We camped at LaBelle Woods Resort in a Motorhome.

Club Naples RV Resort, Naples, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Our site was grass and mud for 90% of the time we were here. Stepping out of the rig, you had to step into water. Disregarding Florida state law in regard to sewer connections, our neighbors and others were not off the ground and often underwater. To say that the interior roads in this park are narrow is an understatement and the sites themselves are even worse. They are extremely close together and to the road. There is very little room for driving down the road. Several rigs, as they were leaving, came within Inches of ours. Every time someone arrived or left, several passenger vehicles around that site had to be moved. We stayed here for a month in January 2016 We will never stay here again. We camped at Club Naples RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Indian Creek RV Resort, Fort Myers Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here many times in the past and knew the streets were narrow, however our site usually was more that satisfactory. This time was very different. We were stuck back in a corner spot with a park model under construction less that 10 feet away and highway traffic no more that 25 feet away. The entrance to our site was barely wider than our motor home. We asked for a different site and were told that nothing was available. This park has basically eliminated most of the RV sites in favor of new park models. It is no longer RV friendly. We also are trying to get rid of an infestation of fire ants. We will never return to this park. We camped at Indian Creek RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Dixie Caverns Campground, Salem, Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This campground was overpriced for the amenities. The interior roads are adequate but nothing more. The permanent residents seriously detract from the quality of the campground. The pull-through sites are very narrow but long enough. There is a lot of noise from the nearby interstate. We will return only if there are no other options. We camped at Dixie Caverns Campground in a Motorhome.

NET Camping Resort, Vineland, Ontario

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We were hoping to use to pool but the "shallow pool" had a lot of leaf debris and the regular pool was very cloudy and did not look clean. We waited for over an hour at the office for someone to show up. The sign on the door said to go to the house, but no one was there either. The sewer connection at our site (220) would not accept a standard fitting for a sewer connection. We will not return. We camped at NET Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

There was significant road noise during the day from our site (#81). However, at night it was quiet. There is an abundance of amenities at this park including play areas, hiking trails (paved), paddle boats, vending machine, a restaurant and geocaches! We camped at Groveland Oaks in a Motorhome.
