Gaslight Campground, Emlenton, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The campground is run down. The sites are not really easy to see because the gravel has all washed away. They are on the side of a hill which makes leveling a little tricky but it is manageable. The bathhouse is clean and in great shape. Playground is small. Pool is nice. Staff is friendly. I think it is too expensive for what you get. We will look to find another campground in the area the next time through. We camped at Gaslight Campground in a Motorhome.

Twin Grove RV Resort & Cottages, Pine Grove, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The facilities at this campground are great. Nice disc golf course, good play areas worked in throughout the park, great pool area, and a nice restaurant. The main issue with this campground is that it is very loud at night which is not very kid friendly. They had a party the one night with a DJ till after 11 with the music so loud that it vibrated inside my motor home and I was farther away in a premium site. On the other night, people were literally yelling at each other and my kids could not sleep. It is a shame that since they left KOA, the rules seem to have left with it. We camped at Twin Grove RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.

Lake-in-Wood Camping Resort, Narvon, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

This park was outstanding! When you drive in you will see just an outstanding looking park. Someone was waiting at the gate to tell you what you needed to do. When checking in, they offer to guide you to the site, but I did not take them up on it. The roads are paved and easy to navigate. A lot of activities to do including a nice 30 minute hayride around the campground. It is very quiet, and the people are nice. The pool is just a WOW! The cafe was good, and the prices on the food were great. We liked how the cafe was connected to the pool area which made for a nice day. It was quiet at night. This is a must camp campground, and I will be back as soon as I can get a reservation! We camped at Lake-in-Wood Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Mount Pocono Campground, Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice campground. The pull through sites were nice and easy to navigate. We had no problem with our 30' trailer. The sites are all new with new hook-ups which made it nice. No leveling required. They were well landscaped which made it a treat. Decent site width and it is on a hill which made it feel very private. The pools are heated and clean. This campground does not nickle and dime you which is great. We did a free craft with my daughter which was a blast. Good hiking from the campground to nearby fishing. The seasonal campers were very friendly and really welcomed you to the campground. The owners are putting a lot of work into the buildings, and it looks great. They had a kids play area in the new rec hall with lots of good toys for her. We will be back again next year. If you stay here, you will definitely not regret it, and it will be your new Pocono stop! We camped at Mount Pocono Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Pine Hill RV Park, Kutztown, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $40.00

This campground was a pleasant surprise! The sites are huge and maneuvering around the park was easy. The sites are level and the distance between sites was one of the better we have had in awhile. They recently moved the playground to a new area the owners built and my 4 year old loved it. It is easy to get to this campground as well. We stayed here over mother's day weekend and they had a nice breakfast Sunday morning for everyone at a reasonable price. They even waited on you which was impressive. There is a little bit of noise from 78 and route 22 but it really was not as bad as I thought it would be. This is a great find and if you stay here, I think you will be pleased. If they add the pool they are planning, this will be a great campground that I would give a 10. We camped at Pine Hill RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
