Big and modern for a state park. Not much to do in the off season (when we stayed). The big attraction is the pool in the summer. It was hard to find a level site. The "newer" section was more "big rig" friendly. This was a nice camp ground for a weekend get away, but I wouldn't want to spend much more time there. Kids liked the playground and the paved roads for bike riding.

Nice big trees on pull through sites. Didn't like all the dust from the road, but it's tolerable. Trash pick up is nice. Centrally located to all the areas main attractions. Most things are at most 20 min. drive. Pool is small and out dated. Was easily crowed. Cable TV didn't work very well we only got a few channels. Office said it was our problem and wasn't very interested in solving the trouble. It wasn't a problem with our equipment. It worked fine before that stay and after... Wish the office was a little more friendly. We stayed here for a long weekend.

Friendly staff. Looks like there are a lot of permanent sites, but everyone is friendly. There's a marina, camp/marina store and a chuck wagon that serves food. We've camped once, but live close and almost always use the marina to launch our 22' runabout boat ($8 to launch and park for the day). They have a beach for swimming and a large quiet shoreline for fishing. They rent boats and jet skies also. Nice place, very "country".

Very nice older park. Great for small rigs and tents. Lots of big wooded sites and great hiking trails. Nice beach for swimming. We really like this park. We used to tent camp here a lot.
