Don't believe the pictures. Grass is either dead or burned out, no trees, no ambiance. Sites are gravel and very uneven. Staff is slow, uncaring, and without personality. Check in is painfully slow. Our site had no water, they told us it leaked so rather than fix we had to pull water from another site about 70' away. Sewer is way in back, had to add sewer hose extension. Very expensive place with little redeeming value. Oh yes, internet is extremely slow, unusable most of the time.

Camped here in December after some ugly winter weather. They totally did nothing to sand or plow, making roads and sites super slippery. Kind of frustrating. And yet, a way cool place with super friendly staff. Good sites, most with a view of their little lake, good cable, good power, long level sites, and good dog walking. Some minor traffic noise from I-35. Definitely would stay here again.

This place is the pits! Extremely over priced by a long shot. Mostly pipe workers staying here (not the real problem - but maybe why they way over charge). The place is hard to find, hard to get to, and 8 difficult miles (not an easy 6 miles as they advertise) to get here. Sticky, icky, mud you can't get off your shoes or boots, sites are not level, the 50 amps is not 50 amps (we had to turn off our small electric heater to use the hair dryer). There is a lot of construction/drilling work going on around here and these people are milking that by charging a totally inappropriate price for a junky place. Stay away!

Pure Plane Jane, but nice setting. Friendly and helpful owner. Good power and water pressure. Close to Bosque del Apache wildlife preserve: an awesome place! Very quiet except for very occasional train, no problem for us. Definitely stay here again.

Location, location, location. Super close to Carlsbad Caverns, only CG within even 20 miles of the Caverns. It is 7 miles up the road. Outside of location, it is a pretty funky, crummy CG. People do not pick up after dogs, and apparently this is OK. Sites are very close to each other, we had no one on either side so it was not an issue, but were someone next to us I believe our slide would virtually touch. I suspect it usually is not full nor busy, so you might also get an empty space next to you. Bottom line, don't expect much, stay for the convenience of location. If we went to the Caverns again, I would stay here.

Rate reflects non pull through, 30 amp, no sewer. Park is under new (maybe 1 year) ownership. Owner seems a little confused. Park needs some upgrades. Our power was virtually non existent (couldn't even run a ceiling fan), water did not work for two days. Tons of tent camping meaning little munchkins everywhere. And noisy: loud, very loud Mexican music at 7:30a (of course office doesn't open until 9 am). Location is very pretty and pleasant but unless you want tons of kids romping around, you should think twice. Work campers did a good job and really seemed to care, but word is that at least some have left.

Park is out of Taos, actually Valle Escondito, half way between Taos and Angel Fire. Setting is beautiful, park is not. Very run down and does not live up at all to add on web page. No trout in "Trout" pond, no pads, Wi-Fi very marginal, only 5 or 6 pull throughs, patio tables falling apart - mostly unusable - and most sites are not with BBQ. Have not seen any horse coral either. Sites and road are mostly dirt, sites are quite unlevel. Some noise from Hwy 64 right in front but actually not bothersome. Reservation system is virtually non existent. Manager is nice but confused on what sites are available. Place is very much in need of maintenance and a lot of TLC. For what you get, it is overpriced. There is a large field where you can run dogs off leash. I might stay here again if maintenance and upgrading were done, otherwise no.

Convenient, yes. Owners friendly and helpful, yes. But park is pretty rustic, all dirt and dusty. 50 amp sites are the least desirable sites. Pretty basic park for much more than basic price. We paid $45, with tax, and with AAA discount. Way too much for this park. Will not stay here again unless price were to be drastically reduced.

Rate reflects C to C "Good Neighbor" rate. A very nice little park. Friendly and helpful owners who guided us into the site, clean and well kept. Far enough off the hiway to avoid most hiway noise, some noise from the street/hiway it is on, but never bothered us. The town of Welcome is well worth a drive through. Lots of area to walk a dog. Would definitely stay here again.

One qualifier. We saw some pretty scuddy camp sites: dirt/uneven/no view. So as long as you get one like we had, right on the river, with a magnificent view (we had a great site #5), this is one great park. Wonderful managers, nice folks around us, clean, grass (well kept)asphalt pad, fire pit. Just a nice stay. Definitely would go back.

Big Rig access is checked, I won't dispute this but sure doubt it. We were super tight with our 35' fifth wheel. Check in is extremely slow and inefficient. Spaces are very tight and very close and virtually, or literally, no place to park tow truck or toad. Two out of 3 laundries do not work (one has no appliances). The sites are unlevel, picnic tables if you happen to get one, are old and dilapidated. Just a tough spot for rigs over 30'. We camped here as a Coast to Coast guest (hence the $10 rate). On the positive side the water and electric are good (although you may need an extension cord to reach the electric). For $10 I might stay here again but doubt it.

Date of Stay:

For $15 as it used to be I would rate it 9, for $20, as we paid, 8. Nice little park on the fairgrounds. Park on grass, most sites with shade. Make sure to have a long electric cord as electrical hook up is far away (30 amp only). No sites are level, some worse than others. Albert Lea, while a little run down, is a fun town to explore. We would stay here again.

Date of Stay:

This place was spooky to us. Junky looking, really dilapidated run down permanent "rigs" (some will never move again). We would have left except we were meeting friends. We were given a supposed 50 amp site but it was only 30 amp, don't even know if they have 50 amps. The manager knew nothing about RV's and very, very little about his small park. Would not stay here again.

Date of Stay:

This is a nice little CG, but pretty plain Jane. It is right on hwy 52 and there is some traffic noise. Not much else near by that I am aware of so if it fits your stop/travel plans go for it. This is our first stay (our home base camp), we would stay again if we are close by.

What a pleasant stop. Very well maintained, comfortable CG. Has everything, 50 amps, 60psi water, wifi, space, newspaper, nice friendly owners/managers, level spaces, grass for dogs, Wal Mart almost across the street, great Flying J almost next door (no noise), quiet. No pool, no fancy meeting room (nor any of that other stuff we don't like to pay for) just a great, comfortable park at a very good value/cost ratio. Definitely would come back.
