Well, this is a very old and run down park. They have a firetruck with Yogi and something riding through the park in the evening. The staff was fine, but the roads are tight, bumpy and quite a number of dumpy, dirty permanents. The sites are so close together and nothing really pretty about the park either. Dogs barking continually, but the trip to Old Sturbridge Village was the icing on a flopped cake.

We stopped here on our way home from a long trip and just needed a place to sleep. We were pleasantly surprised with this campground. The staff was really friendly and helpful, the sites were long and level and we did not need to disconnect truck from the trailer. Their camp store is full of whatever you may need. They have a nice little deli and will make you sandwiches and breakfast sandwiches. Very reasonably priced. To look around throughout the park, there are flowers everywhere. Behind us was an old metal bed frame filled with begonias. On a wooden fence wall were lots of painted old tires brimming with plants and vines. We would like to return some day and spend a few days here.

We were a little concerned with some of the negative reviews, but overall, pleasantly surprised. We have a nice pull through site, and there are very few people here now, so we can walk across the road and see the pretty stream. Further down toward the ocean that same stream cascades over rocks and small waterfalls with ferns everywhere. The view of the harbor is breathtaking, and the area by the water has chairs, benches, and picnic tables. Lots of plantings throughout the area. People were very helpful, and the sites have some foliage between them.

This is a very nice, quiet park. The people we met were friendly and the staff were helpful. Our site was shady and cool. Convenient to Lake George village and outlets, although we did not go to the outlets. Trolley will transport you back and forth all day long.

After a recommendation from several campers on the RV.net, we reserved 4 nights and possibly 5 at this campground. We were so surprised with the gorgeous views of Lake Ontario and the Harbor. This place is wonderful. Cable very good, views amazing, hookups were good, too. I would return here anytime and recommend it highly.

We needed one night on the way to Lake Ontario from Virginia and when I called the office of this park, I was told they had water and electric and pull thru sites. The site they picked for us would barely hold a pop up, much less our fifth wheel. Not many signs to direct you to the camp area, too. A wonderful park ranger arranged the change to their one, note one, pull thru site from our small one. It was adequate. Not very level, but for one night okay. The lake is lovely, the grounds are lovely, but the people in reservations and in the camp office do not know the campground at all. Will never return.

This is a fairly new park, quiet and convenient to visiting the Naval Aviation Museum. The owners are helpful and pleasant, the facilities are fine. After a rain though, it can be a little wetter due to not having concrete pads.

This is a top notch RV Park that has beach access. Short walk to the boardwalk access to the beach, and it is fabulous! The facilities are excellent, the sites level and all concrete. This is a great park for using the beach, and the sites are easy to get into for the pull through sites. We would return in a heartbeat!

This is an excellent park that is so convenient to the historic area and the River Walk due to the ease of catching a bus right in front of the park. The city is great and the people at the RV park were so friendly and staff helpful. The sites were level and the staff groomed the gravel after each departure. The hookups were in good order. Wi-fi was not bad either.

We were pleasantly surprised with this very nice RV park. Clean area, very attractive Lodge and welcome area, free coffee and danish in the morning. Free shuttle to the casino is a plus. Hookups easy to get to and very updated. The only downside is that there is nothing in the area but the casino.

This park is almost perfect. The staff and facilities are top notch and the only reason it is not perfect was due to poor cable TV and the reception with the antenna faded at times. The laundry facilities were immaculate and a huge open area within the office that could be a great gathering place. The view along the Mississippi River was great and there is a mile long walkway right on the top of the levee that was lovely.

This is probably the worst place we have ever stayed in the years of camping. The water faucet was broken at our site and no water at the next site. We managed to get water from the site behind us. The roads leading into the park were so bad with potholes, that we literally busted one trailer tire and rushed to get into a site before all the air left the tire. The area had a tornado go through several days before our arrival, leaving debris everywhere - that was completely out of their control though. The park has lots of permanent residents, who seemed nice and friendly and the office people were quite helpful. That was the only thing positive about a very run down park.

Very old park needing upgrades on the sites and the roads. It is not a pretty park. Laundry worked well.

We stayed here about 8 years ago and were in the campground section (east) and it was fine. This year we were sent to a site sandwiched between tons of junk and permanent park models. That was a stretch to refer to them as park models. The site was on a slope and the office people did not give correct instructions to get into the site (one road too soon). Thank goodness we got out and walked to our site and returned to the office and asked for a refund. There was no problem and the staff was understanding.

This campground is easy in and out for an overnight stay. It was pouring rain and we were glad to have a place to stop. There is not a lot of campgrounds on Route 301, but this one is great for a stopover. There were puddles everywhere after all the rain and it would be great if there were gravel or concrete pads at the sites, but then again, the price would be higher.
