Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated), Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2008 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

If you want hook ups and have a larger rigs it is the only place to stay. The roads are paved, but narrow and tight, but a big rig can negotiate. The sites seem to be dirt and gravel the may have once been pavement. Sites have tables and BBQ grills. Unfortunately the campground is kind of worn out. There is a free shuttle bus that comes to the campground every 15 minutes during the day so you can see the sights without driving. We would stay again. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

Overall the campground is okay. The scenery is exception. The roads are paved and a little tight for a big rig, but can be negotiated. Sites are dirt and not exactly level. We would stay again. We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Motorhome.

James M. Robb-Colorado River State Park (Fruita Section), Fruita, Colorado

Date of Stay: November, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Great state park, one of the best we have seen. Well laid out. Sites have a covered picnic table, place for a tent, and a fire ring. The sites and roads are paved and there is nice visitor service center. Maximum stay is 14 days. Reservations are recommended for the peak season. Only one gripe and that has been addressed before, both the motorhome and the towed vehicle are required to purchase a daily vehicle pass. We camped at James M. Robb-Colorado River State Park (Fruita Section) in a Motorhome.

Springville/Provo KOA , Springville, Utah

Date of Stay: October, 2008 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

A very nice RV park with paved roads and sites. There is nice grass and trees. A 40' motor home and attached toad just barely fit in the pull through sites. WiFi is free, but works better if parked closer to office. Management pointed this out when we registered. Noise from nearby truck stop could be bothersome to some people. We stayed overnight, but it would be a good place to stay longer. We camped at Springville/Provo KOA in a Motorhome.

Dick's RV Park, Great Falls, Montana

Date of Stay: October, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed over night. It is an older park with some long term residents which seem to be separate from the short term area. Sites gravel, fairly level, and long enough to hold 40' motor home with toad attached. There is some noise from from the nearby busy street, but not excessive. Free WiFi. The management friendly and helpful. We would stay again. We camped at Dick's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Junction West RV Park, Grand Junction, Colorado

Date of Stay: October, 2008 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

The park is all gravel roads and sites separated by small fences. Gravel tends to make the park dusty from internal traffic and wind. Pull throughs are long enough for 40' motor home, but toad will probably have to be detached to fit in some sites. It is located in an area of trucking depots and heavy traffic with the resulting noise. That could be bothersome to some people. Wi-Fi was free and worked good. The management and staff are very friendly and helpful. We would stay again. We camped at Junction West RV Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: October, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The park is older former KOA. It is nothing fancy but is okay for an overnight stay or a few days. Access to park is a little tricky. Sites are gravel with grass on each side. Pull throughs are large enough for 40' motor home and toad. Wi-Fi free and worked good. We stayed overnight and would stay again. Management very friendly and helpful. We camped in a Motorhome.
