R&D Family Campground, Milford, Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice campground, with shaded sites. We looked on the campsite map on the internet and picked site 15 as it looked like the biggest and easy pull through. Owners went out of their way to make this site available to us and moved a trailor off it. I think there a several permanent trailors here and some rentals. Lot 15 is the best site, we were facing the woods and had our backs to the rest of the camp sites, so it was very private and relaxing. Showers were clean, but not very private. The shower curtains had a clear plastic window in them and there was a common dressing area. The staff came around about every other day to empty our black and grey tanks, which we found to be a nice service. We camped at R&D Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Granite Hill Campground & Adventure Golf, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful campground, lots of nice shaded areas and well maintained grounds. The showers were clean and hot water was not a problem. Staff were very helpful. We made reservations the night before and arrived after office hours. Staff had a map waiting for us with directions to our site. This is a hilly area and site was not very level, but we managed to level out. We did see other sites which may have been more level. Overall we were happy with our site, nice and wide, wooded and not to far from the showers. We camped at Granite Hill Campground & Adventure Golf in a Fifth Wheel.

Clarksville RV Park & Campground, Clarksville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2009 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Campground is very clean and the bathroom/shower was the cleanest I have ever seen. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Negatives were: no campfires or grills by the campers, although they did have a separate area for that; camp sites were very close; and it was extremely noisy by our site. There was a junk yard or something like that across the street. We had stayed a week and the area we were in had mostly overnight campers, so there was a lot of activity of campers coming and going. We may stay here again, but only as a stop over. We camped at Clarksville RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Henry Horton State Park, Chapel Hill, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2009 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is the second time we have camped here and just love this park. The site was beautiful and peaceful. Felt very secure, as there were park rangers around frequently. Showers and bathrooms were very clean. We have a 38 foot 5th wheel and found the sites easily accessible. We plan to come back annually. We camped at Henry Horton State Park in a Fifth Wheel.
