Forest Lake RV Park & Camping Resort (Thousand Trails), Advance, North Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $3.00
Overall Rating:

Camped here for two weeks using my Thousand Trails zone membership. Well maintained campground. Lots of 50 amp sites available ( $3 per day charge for 50 amp service). Has a family pool, kiddie pool and an adults only pool plus a jacuzzi. Family activity center and an adults only center. No cable TV but we picked up about 20 on air channels. Wi-Fi for pay with daily through extended month rates. 2 week rate was $21. Our site was fairly level with a picnic table and fire ring. Has an outdoor movie theater, storage areas for utility trailers and dollies. Great playground for the kids, a grill for buying sandwiches, etc. Fishing pond with a sandy beach area. On Saturday a local vendor was set up selling fresh vegetables. Staff very friendly. Overall a great experience and we will definitely return. We camped at Forest Lake RV Park & Camping Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Motorhome.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Daddy Joe's, Tabor City, North Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Outstanding campground. Very clean, staff is very friendly and helpful. All the facilities are well maintained. Nicely stocked store (with reasonable prices) and a grill where you can get sandwiches, breakfast, etc. Small laundry room, but well maintained and looks like fairly new washers and dryers. Lots of activities for the kids, including several ponds for fishing. Propane pricing was comparable to what you would pay outside of a campground. My wife is currently staying here in our motorhome while on a travel nursing assignment and I've spent a couple of weekends here. One of the best RV parks we've seen yet. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Daddy Joe's in a Motorhome.

Cabin Creek Campground , Jacksonville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2008 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Spent 3 nights here for my son-in-law's USMC homecoming from Afghanistan. Staff was friendly and helpful, campground clean and well maintained. For golfers there's a fairly nice driving range and also batting cages. Easy to maneuver the motor home through the campground. Site was fairly level, had to raise the front end up only about 2". Wi-Fi worked great (password needed). No problems with any utility connections. Grocery store (Food Lion) only a couple of miles away. Overall a nice stay and I'd definitely return again. We camped at Cabin Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Raleigh Oaks RV Resort, Four Oaks, North Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

It was just a quick overnight stop, and we arrived well after closing. Check-in info hanging on bulletin board with our name. The campground host came out in a golf cart and led us directly to our site and was very nice. Level sites and, no problems with hook ups. The cable TV worked very well. We left the next morning so didn't get to use the parks amenities but would like to return sometime. There is food and shopping in a huge outlet mall close by. We camped at Raleigh Oaks RV Resort in a Motorhome.
