St. Vrain State Park, Longmont, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a lovely state park RV CG, located near freeway and very convenient to Longmont area. Sites are pull-thru in loops adjacent to the graveled interior road, sites are graveled, very spacious, and surrounded by grass. Sites have picnic tables with a wind shield. Reservations require registration with state park service reservation system, but once done, easy to make reservations. This appears to be a very popular destination for locals on weekends, so reservations required far in advance for weekends, but not so much during the week. Park staff very friendly & helpful. We camped at St. Vrain State Park in a Motorhome.

Yellowstone Holiday RV Campground & Marina, West Yellowstone, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $64.00
Overall Rating:

We found this to be a lovely RV campgroud on the shores of the Hebgen lake. It had rather narrow gravel interior roads, making parking a bit difficult but doable for big-rigs; had both back-in and pull-thru sites. Friendly staff, clean, lovely showers & laundry facilities, and beautiful view of lake & surrounding mountains. Located about 15 minutes from entrance to Yellowstone on easily traveled roads. We camped at Yellowstone Holiday RV Campground & Marina in a Motorhome.

Cedar Pass Campground (Concessionaire Operated), Badlands National Park, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This is a concessionaire operated Park Service CG, very conveniently located in the midst of the Badlands and near the Badlands Visitors Center. Some sites have 50A, others 30 A, others no services. Water & sewer only available @ dump station. Sites are narrow expansions of the roadway, adequate, but not spacious. Restrooms & showers are conveniently located; showers cost $0.25/2 minutes (quarters only) and are adequate but not luxurious. Surrounding veiw of the Badlands is quite spectacular. Most sites relatively level, but a few are not! We camped at Cedar Pass Campground (Concessionaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

Elkhorn Ridge RV Resort & Cabins, Spearfish, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

This is a well-manicured, high-end & seemingly rather new CG with excellent cement interior roads and cement pads & patio. Large spacious sites, grass surrounds non-cemented pad. Full service plus large, well stocked office/store with many touristy gifts, etc. We camped at Elkhorn Ridge RV Resort & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Green River KOA, Green River, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

Park located on eastern edge of Green River, near the Green River and conveniently near I-70. Park is lightly graveled dirt with some patches of grass and some trees. Some sites are pull-thru with full service. Rather pricey for patch of dirt to park your coach, but not many choices in that area. Staff very friendly and helpful; a redeeming virtue was excellent restaurant adjacent to park. We camped at Green River KOA in a Motorhome.

Forest Retreat RV Park, New Caney, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Deluxe pull-thru sites have cement pads for coaches, small cement patio, and larger grassy area between sites. Park well maintained, very clean, excellent Wi-Fi connection, and friendly staff. On past stays here, laundry and showers were clean & well maintained, but haven't checked this trip. Pet friendly and far enough away from freeway to be very quiet & peaceful. Good Sam discount. We camped at Forest Retreat RV Park in a Motorhome.

Greentree Village North Travel Park, San Antonio, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Park is adequate, staff friendly, seems to have mostly long-term or permanent residents. Gravel lots, cement patios, spacious lots, many with trees. Has a lot of burr clover weeds, which when "ripe," will create problems for dogs and barefoot walking. Garmin GPS leads one to empty lot about a 1/2 mile from the park. We camped at Greentree Village North Travel Park in a Motorhome.
