C.B. Smith Park, Pembroke Pines, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

As others have noted, this park is centrally located in a busy metroploitan area. It is well maintained and features paved roads and sites and is priced fairly. It has a lot of what we want in an rv park but its not perfect. There were a lot of overhanging trees that need to be trimmed. Everyone in our pull through row exited by backing out of their site. Too many trees in the way of a front exit. During the week and on all overnights there is no gates or security on site. I didn't have any problems but locals do cruise the park. I will not book a weekend again. 9 hour concert on the saturday we were there. We couldn't take the booming bass so we went out during the day to escape the noise. Came back about 3pm and had to wait in line about 15 minutes to enter the park. Cars filled the park everywhere....lots of concert goers strolling the park. It was over shortly after dark. Sunday was much better but a ski boat towing hollering tubers all afternoon was less than peaceful. The location and nicely maintained park make up for the inconveniences so I'll likely be back but not on a weekend. We camped at C.B. Smith Park in a Motorhome.

Belle Parc RV Resort, Brooksville, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $67.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed 6 days in a pull thru. Paved roads, wide concrete site and beautifully kept scenic park. Wi-fi worked, showers and restrooms clean. A little off of the beaten track but very nice. Site was a touch more out of level that hoped for. All services worked well. We camped at Belle Parc RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park, West Memphis, Arkansas

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

A very neat experience watching the boats and barges go up and down the Mississippi. Great value for an unusual park. We had a pull through in the new south section with a concrete pad and new services. The only cons are wi-fi that was pretty much useless and the mud. It had rained the day before we arrived and the road to the park was very muddy, the access to our site was worse. All clay and we were almost bogged down getting to site 102. The old area of the park was better but still muddy days after the rain. There are mud clods all over my rv and toad. I would come again but not if rain is anywhere before or during my stay. We camped at Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park in a Motorhome.

Worlds of Fun Village, Kansas City, Missouri

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

A really well put together campground with wide paved streets and long paved sites. Nicely manicured lawns. Everything worked as designed. There is construction on the road at the entrance and it took a while to turn into the park but it was virtually impossible to leave without driving over curbs and getting traffic to stop. I think it was at least 15 minutes to get out of the park. Once the construction is finished, I would have no problem returning, but not before. We camped at Worlds of Fun Village in a Motorhome.

Older park next to freeway. A little dusty and kind of tight but acceptable. Services worked well (even the wi-fi) but the cable was analog. For the price and convenience its pretty good. We camped at Holiday RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sheridan / Big Horn Mountains KOA, Sheridan, Wyoming

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Older park with adequate sites and good services that worked as expected. Located on a dead end road fairly close to the interstate. Access roads and road within the park were very narrow and muddy. The sites would accomodate big rigs but getting there on the park narrow and twisty roads could be a problem. Because of the roads, not sure I would return. We camped at Sheridan / Big Horn Mountains KOA in a Motorhome.

Bridgeview RV Resort, Lethbridge, Alberta

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Its been 3 or 4 years since my last visit. At that time I used a credit card to pay for my stay that I hadn't used for 6 months. The day after I paid, my credit card was compromised and I cancelled it. Suspicion kept me from returning. Time has passed and I travel the area often, staff has changed, so I booked a month. Basic park with dirt/gravel sites, no cable, no wi-fi but OK. This time my bicycle locked to the picnic table and within 10 feet of our door was stolen between 7 and 10pm with us in the rv. I reported it to the park who indicated that they had no security and property theft was not uncommon. Lethbridge police also confirmed that they had numerous theft/burglary reports from Bridgeview. Not a bad park but my recent experiences will certainly color my thoughts of returning. We camped at Bridgeview RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lincoln Road RV Park, Helena, Montana

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Average park only a mile from I-15. Dirt roads and sites mostly pull thru with full services that work well. Easy to access. Website says winter rates of $33 valid til Apr 30. When you arrive you are hit with $46 effective March 2017. To my mind its a bait and switch technique which I really dislike. I won't be back. We camped at Lincoln Road RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Las Vegas RV Resort , Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

13% increase since Dec. Still a good value, all paved, narrow pull thrus, sketchy neighborhood. Have never had success with Wi-Fi so called Tengo to see what they could do. Spent considerable time with them and they changed numerous settings on my computer. They got me connected once but it dropped the signal before I could go anywhere. Tengo eventually gave up saying that there system was not compatible with my operating system (Windows10) or my browser (explorer). Suggested I change both if I wanted it to work. Mine works fine at the library or fast food places. My wife's apple would connect but the signal dropped about every 5 minutes. We camped at Las Vegas RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Leaf Verde RV Resort, Buckeye, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Rated based upon monthly stay in deluxe pull thru site. Mostly tight pull thrus, side by side hookups, on packed sand. Nice staff, nice residents in good location. Services worked as designed. I would come back but definitely not to site 203. There was a large tree with a canopy that covered most of the site including the rv. The tree trunk was next to the rv which prevented using the awning which was a good thing. The tree was home to birds who spent the day pooping on anything below which made use of the site impossible. Anything left there (chairs, bikes, vehicles and the rv) would be covered in no time. By the time we left the rv was covered with streaks down the sides as well. Would have liked to wash some of it off but the park has a strict no washing policy. We camped at Leaf Verde RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Chula Vista RV Resort, Chula Vista, California

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Rate based upon $1650 monthly charge. Previous stays with park full. This time lots of empty spaces. Might be constant rain or perhaps new higher rate? Nice well kept park, all paved with tight spots. Good family park with smooth paved roads for children to skateboard or bicycle. Pick up baseball or soccer games on streets most of the time. Nice looking pool and hot tub but full of children. Tried the hot tub during designated adult only times but too many splashing kids. Asked the office about adult only but was told facilities were for all guests and if residents were Ok with their children practicing cannon balls into the hot tub the park would not deny them. Great Laundry room kept very clean but two concerns. Too small for all the rv park and 90% of the marina. Always had to wait for machines. A number or residents brought pets to do laundry. Hard not to trip over dogs in laundry room. Park cleaning staff had to jump over leashes to sweep around dogs sleeping on floor. Quite a number of stray cats make the park their home. Other than a few annoyances, still a good, albeit pricey, park I'd likely return to. We camped at Chula Vista RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Pechanga RV Resort & Casino, Temecula, California

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Rate based on weekly stay. Have stayed before and it was good albeit expensive. The casino/hotel is in the midst of a massive construction effort. At check in, you are given ear plugs. Take them as sleep is impossible without them. Wish we had been told when making a reservation that construction is loud and constant. At the very least they should discount the rate.
