Nice park, centrally located for exploring the Black Hills. Check in staff was accommodating, however they could be better organized. We were led to the site by a work camper on a golf cart, and he helped align the fiver in the site. As previously stated, it is tight. Sites are close together, we shared a shelter with another site, no need for the awning. Campground is very clean, showers were clean, laundry was clean, and pool area was clean. This campground served its purpose as a great base location for exploring the Black Hills and Badlands region.

Pammel Park is a former state park that is now ran by Madison County. The park is extremely beautiful area. It is situated next to the Middle River along a limestone backbone. The campground offers two choices of campsites one which we prefer is in the wooded area of the park, and the other are a more modern in the open with concrete pads. The RV sites offer electric and water hookups. A dump station is available. A great place to which you could tour the "Bridges of Madison County". The park features a ford across the river and a tunnel. The shower faculties were excellent.

Our family loves Mark Twain Landing. This was our third year of going to the park. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. Staff member took the time to help us get backed into our site. The adjacent water park offered a pass for 2 days for a family of four for $49. The facilities are well maintained and clean. The playground is second to none. If you are looking for a great family park this is it.

As previous posters have noted it is a good spot to get off the road. Park is clean with pull throughs. It is full hook ups. We did notice a sewer smell from the sight next to us, as they are very close. No picnic tables are available. You do get use of the indoor pool at the hotel, and you are given discount coupons for drinks at the lounge. Overall it is a nice clean overnight stop.

Beautiful campground with lake views. Electric only hookups. Campground is patroled by the DNR (quite visible). Great family atmosphere. We have stayed here several times. In the summer months a naturalist gives programs on the weekends. There is a beach adjacent to the camping area. Be sure to arrive early or have a reservation, as the park is a popular weekend destination. Only downfall for the park is lack of full hookups, and the shower houses are in need of a update.
