Silver City RV Park, Silver City, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $300.00
Overall Rating:

I stayed here for six months, ending mid-October. The monthly rate was $300 plus electric. It is the most convenient park for activities downtown, which was walking distance for me. As a single male senior, I'm a bit of a slob. I did not notice anything wrong with the other long term residents. The owner-managers were as nice as I have ever met, but they would not tolerate anything that was unsafe. I would have given the park a 10 rating but the local traffic noise was disturbing. We camped at Silver City RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Dream Catcher RV Park - Escapees Rainbow Park, Deming, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2010 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice, well run park, but like most of them in Deming, the I-10 traffic and all day and night railroad noise detract from the ambiance. My rate is the Escapees Club member rate (plus electric at approximately 10 1/2 cents per kilowatt hour). We camped at Dream Catcher RV Park - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Motorhome.

Valley of Fires Recreation Area (BLM), Carrizozo, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2010 - $9.00
Overall Rating:

This is now my favorite campground. No WiFi but had excellent service with my Verizon air card. There is a dump station. The hosts are volunteers, but take care of the place like they owned it. My rate is lower because it reflects the Golden Age Pass discount for a site with water and electric. We camped at Valley of Fires Recreation Area (BLM) in a Motorhome.
