New Brighton State Beach, Capitola, California

Date of Stay: November, 2008 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Just camped here for the first time. Ocean is just a short walk away. Sites are big, but was unable to get site with hookups even 2 months in advance. Generator hours are 10:00 am to 08:00 pm. and are strictly enforced. I received a warning at about 08:10 pm, and was told the next would be a citation. Overall a very beautiful park. Will definitely visit again. We camped at New Brighton State Beach in a Motorhome.

Codorniz Recreation Area Campground COE, Raymond, California

Date of Stay: October, 2008 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

I live approximately 30 minutes from Eastman Lake, and this is the campsite I visit the most. There is a lot of wildlife in the area. The rangers and volunteers are very nice and helpful. The campgrounds and restrooms are always clean. There are a lot of hiking trails around the area. We don't camp here as much in the summer months due to the heat, and the need to hike a bit to the water for swimming. There are also rattlesnakes in the summer. Overall though, a great place to camp in the non summer months, even through winter. We camped at Codorniz Recreation Area Campground COE in a Motorhome.
