Wonderful park! We've been full timing 6 years now so have seen a lot of parks. Don't write enough reviews for as often as we use this site. Usually "standouts" or warnings or "stay away". This is a standout! Very obvious the owners are intent on making this a top of the line facility. Everything was meticulously maintained and working. Newly renovated miniature golf, large collection of movies to loan for free, newly added pizza parlor, pub to be open soon. Wonderful hot tub after a day on the road. Community bon fire planned one night was rained out. Very interesting decision to make a smoke free park; you can smoke in your rig or your car but not on the grounds or in the buildings. The policy is very clear on their web site, so if that's an issue for you, there are no surprises. Easy in-easy out, and I think all pull through. An added plus is a very good restaurant just a walk across the drive, and an easy in gas and diesel station right across the street. The park also has propane filling. For people just wanting to get off the road for a night or two in this area, its hard to beat. And I could easily see it as a destination park for those living with-in a few hours who just want to take the kids and get away for a long weekend or a vacation. Our rates reflect the Good Sam discount.

Pass this one by if you can. It works for an over night stop, but barely. We saw many RV's come in and drive out, which is what we should have done. Sites are beat up concrete pads, very close together. Most of the sites were full of mud and water. It is spring, so that accounts for some of it, but most of the sites seem a little below ground level, so become mud ponds. The topping on the cake was when dumping the sewer, which quickly began spewing all over the ground from blockage somewhere down in the drain. Owner (I think) came out, looked at it, said he thought they "had fixed it" and offered us to unhook and move to another site. The place is for sale, and it appears the current owners quit any repairs or upkeep a long time ago.

Very disappointing situation! We made reservations a few weeks ago. We arrived today around 12:30pm and no one was at the office. There was a phone # posted to call so we called and left a message that we were here and wanted to check in. Then we waited for someone to show up or return our call. Other campers told us the owners were gone, but the number was their cell phone so they would likely call us right back. My wife called again in about 1/2 hour: told them our phone number again and that we were here. We waited. After one hour I called, and again explained we wanted to get in and set up. Explained if they could call with a site # we would get in and take care of registration later. Then we waited another hour. Probably much more patience than many would have shown, but we were here already, and other campers kept telling us they were sure owners would show up soon. Finally after two hours, we left and went to another park. Amazing that now, five hours after we initially arrived, we still have never gotten a response. Funny way to run a business! So I guess the lesson is if your going here, make sure you call before you arrive to see if someone might be here to let you get in.

We very pleased with this park using our RPI rate of $10 a night. Ocean view, quiet, secluded, nice pool, really not much to complain about. Staff were very nice and sites were neat and clean. However, we began to have high voltage issues about the third day there, and they got worse and worse and worse. We had a surge protector so power to our rig was cut off each time it occurred, but others without a protector had no idea that they were operating at high voltage for continually longer periods of time. Manager had clearly tried to get the problem addressed, with no success. We also heard from others in the permanent "village area" that this had been going on for a while, with a recent RV frying their sat dish receiver. Apparently the problem was occurring only in the full hookup area, of which there are about 13 sites. We finally just packed up and left early after running on our generators the last two nights. I sent an email to the corporate owner, but have not gotten any response.

Very nice park with extremely accommodating owner. We could not get satellite access in the site we chose on line, so the owner moved us around to see if we could get it. (Our satellite dish is on the rear of the rig and trees were in the way.) Then our truck needed repair and was at the dealer overnight. Owner stopped by on second day and asked if we needed anything from town, groceries etc, as he knew we didn't have a vehicle, and they were going in. Finally, almost unheard of, he eliminated every other site as he felt they were too close together for today's big rigs and slides. Made for nice large sites, fire pits, picnic tables etc. And good 50 amp, water, and sewer, all at $25 per nite.

This is a wonderful park if you have some reason to be in Kinsley, or are just getting off the road for a couple of days, as we are. We used Passport, and for that price, the RV parks don't get any better than this. Nice, completely level, concrete pad pull-through site and patio. Electric is excellent. Owner is very friendly, and is an experienced RV park owner. Free Wi-Fi, free use of a land-line phone if desired, with free long distance to anywhere in US. Most people don't need this with current cell phone plans, but still, this is a first for us in a park. This park is clean, well cared for, and has all the look and feel of somewhere that has lots of TLC. It should probably be a 10 but I operate under the assumption that no one is perfect, so 9 is as high as I go.

Nice park with very friendly staff. Has very good 50 amp service and water pressure. Basic gravel sites, but pull throughs are so easy in and out. Rate is the Escapee rate. Good laundry with 4 washers and dryers at $1 each. Is excellent for overnight, or longer if you just want to get off the road and chill for a while. Not a lot to do in Pecos. Would give it a higher rating if not for the fact that the 50 amp sites are very close together.

We had stayed here two years ago and thought it was passable for a couple nights. We tend to not be too picky about a lot of things: we look for a place that we can get decent hook-ups and use as a base for the area. But we stayed for one night this year, passing through, and it has continued to go downhill to the point we won't use it again. The worst part of the entire experience was the BIG roaches which spent the night apparently crawling up our landing legs, trying to get into the warmth. I guess they call them "waterbugs" down here, which sounds nicer, but they are a BIG roach. Went out in the morning to unhook, and discovered them all over the landing legs. And of course, a few did find their way in: which we discovered over the course of the next couple of weeks.

We loved this state park! Full hookups, including sewer, and no problem with 38 ft fifth wheel. Great hikes and scenery, and a visit to the nearby fort and McDonald observatory, all make interesting day trips. The wildlife in this park is amazing. The deer and the javelina are everywhere, and especially like to make regular trips through the campground to see what's going on. I don't think a day went by that we didn't have at least 10 or 12 javelina walk by the rig. I was up in the bed of my pickup one afternoon when I turned around and had two deer looking over the side of the bed rail to apparently see what I was doing in there! Also had a coyote wander through one afternoon to see what was going on. Will definitely stay here again when ever we are in this area.

Very nice park with friendly staff. Nice laundry, library, pool table, and Saturday morning breakfasts, along with an occasional weeknight dinner at reasonable price. Good size sites, a gravel lot, but the electric and water were in good order. We were going to stay a week, but ended up staying two weeks as it was a nice place to just chill for awhile.

Nice park for the price-we used Coast to Coast at $10 nightly. Clean and neat. Just come in, choose one of the visitor sites, and a greeter comes around later to check you in. Nice pool, showers decent, no sewer but dump available. Incredibly interesting area with large Amish settlement and free CD's drive tour available from visitor center in Elkhart. We will definitely stay here again when in the area.

Very nice park. We stayed here through our C2C membership and then went back for another week. Nice break from the 55+ parks so common in AZ. Even though there were a number of seasonals staying here, it was a very friendly park without the clique feeling we have sometimes felt. Also had two nice pools, hot tub, and pool bar with lunch specials and happy hour. Entertainment on weekends: dinner specials, breakfast specials, on site propane service. We felt this was one of the most fun parks we have stayed this winter.

Appeared very run down with lots of hookups out of order. While we allegedly had 30 amp service, I don't think that is what we were getting. Next to the freeway. Self serve-no one available when we were there. Was OK for sleeping for the night.

This is a very nice park that we felt was more than worth every penny (the amount we quote was our PA rate). In fact, we felt it is one of the nicest parks we have been in for the price. Cable with three movie channels-a courtyard with a fire pit-beautiful scenery--and just very quaint! Staff were very friendly. We loved it. As for the trains, from reading some of these reviews we were prepared for trains every half hour. There were a few trains each day-but it was NOT a big deal at all. Now granted, we are in an Excel, which is the quietest unit we have ever been in due to the insulation. But its hard to see how anyone could be disappointed at this park. (866) 386-4241

We stayed here for a month and am not sure what the nightly rate is. We took a monthly rate of 220 plus metered electric. Had what we needed and the price was hard to beat. Major downside was the Wi-Fi which was available to purchase through a company a rv park wifi provider. We had a terrible experience getting a decent signal, getting thrown out and needing to reconnect etc. The park staff were very apologetic, but didn't control how the company poorly dealt with it. We are still in dispute with our credit card company over paying the Wi-Fi company. But again, I don't attribute this to the park or their staff. This park is a number of RV sites in the rear of a trailer park, a lot of the RV's stay for multiple months. With that being said, every one was very friendly and not the clique, uncomfortable situation you sometimes feel in the snowbird parks in Arizona. We would stay here again.
