Campland On The Bay, San Diego, California

Date of Stay: November, 2008 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here Monday through Thursday off-season. It was much less crowded than others have reported and very few kids until the last day. If you do go to this park, request to be on the west end of the park where there are more trees and a bit more room. Closer to the beach is where the spaces are like a parking lot. The rest rooms and showers were sparkling clean every time we used them. As for full-timer's rigs being substandard, I didn't see that at all. Our own rig is an '89 Bounder, so unless you look like you're heading to the Rainbow Gathering, we probably wouldn't notice age and condition of your rig. The staff were so-so friendly. Once I called up to the office with a question about the WiFi and left a message. I never received a call back and didn't push it since I'd already figured out the problem. Cleaning staff and store staff were very friendly. We stayed here on Passport America and the rate we quote here is the half-price rate for a Standard site. We camped at Campland On The Bay in a Motorhome.

Jude Travel Park, New Orleans, Louisiana

Date of Stay: October, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Because of business in New Orleans, we stayed here for two weeks. The area of town is not a good one, although there is a Winn-Dixie within a couple of miles. However, the gate and fence gave a good amount of security. There were no seedy looking people or units within the park. Office was usually locked and staff isn't always available. Bathrooms and showers were very clean. Better parks could be had for a lot higher price. For the price in this city, it was adequate. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for one night traveling through Kansas. Owner was friendly and helpful as this was our first campground. We stayed here on a Passport America discount. Despite being close to the interstate, the park was quiet. We camped at Triple J RV Park in a Motorhome.

Trader's Village RV Park, Grand Prairie, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here with our Good Sam discount. Staff were friendly and it was great to go to the flea market next door. It was hot, so would have preferred to have one of the shady spots. We camped at Trader's Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Cash Point RV Park , Bossier City, Louisiana

Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

The river view made this park a very nice stay. If you're looking for activities and amenities, this is not the right park. If you're looking for a great price in a pretty setting (if on the river), this is it. Close enough to Shreveport. We camped at Cash Point RV Park in a Motorhome.

Abita Springs RV Resort , Abita Springs, Louisiana

Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $8.00
Overall Rating:

We camped on an Adult Family Membership of Western Horizon for 7 nights right when transfer of ownership occurred, so there were no activities. The grounds were very well kept. Bathrooms weren't dirty, but there were cobwebs on the ceilings. Laundry facility was open to the air, so appliances had a lot of rust on them. We had a site on the lake and it was lovely. The park was nice and quiet. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! We camped at Abita Springs RV Resort in a Motorhome.
