Tucson / Lazydays KOA, Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2009 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here over Thanksgiving and overall enjoyed the park. They have a lot of nice amenities (pool, laundry, fitness area) but a few things were closed because of the holiday (restaurant, continental breakfast not offered). The wifi is only free for one hour a day and it is SLOW! There is a nicely fenced dog park area which we loved and used a lot. There is lots of good walking around the big resort too. It is very pet friendly and that is good because we have a big dog. The neighborhood around the area is not the best but I felt safe inside the park. It's not lovely desert camping so if that is what you are looking for you will be disappointed - but if you want lots of amenities and a reasonable price it is a great spot. We camped at Tucson / Lazydays KOA in a Motorhome.

Cape Disappointment State Park, Ilwaco, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2005 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

A big state park right on the beach. Sites are out in the open and some are much closer to the beach. Our site only had 15 amp service. The restrooms were being painted each night of our stay and were closed a lot. There is a free shuttle during the summer months for the park and to the lighthouse and Ilwaco. The Lewis & Clark Intrepretive Center at Ft. Canby (in the park) is really neat and worth visiting. We camped at Cape Disappointment State Park in a Motorhome.

Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA, Port Angeles, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2005 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Loved this KOA! Staff very friendly. I would have rated it a 9 but it is right on Hwy 101, and does get noise from it. Store and game room were well done. They book tours to Victoria with shuttle from ferry to KOA if you book with them. Kamping Kabins are in the trees and nice. Pull through sites are out in open, but well cared for. I would stay here again for sure. If you don't need a pull through with full hook ups, I recommend the sites over by the Kabins in the trees. (I think they only have electric and water). We camped at Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA in a Motorhome.
