Green Caye RV Park, Dickinson, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2008 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

This is a huge park with MANY permanent residents, which means lots of noise and busy streets. (Workers leaving very early mornings.) Typical high-density RV park with few trees and "quiet areas." Friendly staff, clean & convenient location to coast & NASA. Can't get monthly rates due to "waiting list"...hmmmmmmm. Good place for short stop but not a destination. Happy Holidays & Safe Travels! We camped at Green Caye RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

North Sterling State Park, Sterling, Colorado

Date of Stay: October, 2008 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Clean state park on lake; very open terrain with walking trails. Few trees for shade; great for whole family! But fish weren't biting! Nice "on your way" stop. We camped at North Sterling State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Chatfield State Park, Littleton, Colorado

Date of Stay: October, 2008 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Another well maintained state park! Clean, with several walking trails around the lake; convenient to city; however, very loud due to nearby interstate and horrible light pollution. We camped at Chatfield State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Cedar Pass Campground (Concessionaire Operated), Badlands National Park, South Dakota

Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Clean bathrooms don't make a great RV park. It was difficult to maneuver on roads- tight turns with sites fairly close together. Why no hookups? There were no trees; it was very barren & sparse. It was close to park activities and amphitheater for nightly programs. The staff was helpful & courteous. There were no RV services in the park. We camped at Cedar Pass Campground (Concessionaire Operated) in a Fifth Wheel.
