Zion Canyon Campground & RV Park, Springdale, Utah

Date of Stay: December, 2008 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We spent 4 days at this campground. It is well run and adequately maintained. Some plumbing fixtures weren't working well, but we're not too picky. This park is the closest to the Zion National Park, and it has a handy convenience store, friendly staff, and beautiful riverfront sites available. I recommend this park to anyone visiting the area. We camped at Zion Canyon Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Valley of Fire State Park, Overton, Nevada

Date of Stay: December, 2008 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

While visiting Zion National Park, visitors there recommended this state park. The scenery is spectacular and the visitors' center is very informative and entertaining. We stayed two days at Atlatl Campground, and we enjoyed it the most of anywhere we have stayed. I was even treated to the sight of a bighorn sheep within our campsite! We highly recommend this well designed and maintained State campground. We camped at Valley of Fire State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Lost Hills RV Park (formerly Lost Hills Campground), Lost Hills, California

Date of Stay: November, 2008 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

There's nothing really wrong with this park, except that it is a giant parking lot next to a truck stop on Highway 5. The noise all night from the diesel trucks and the $28 fee just can't turn this park into a pleasant I-5 RV stopover. We camped at Lost Hills RV Park (formerly Lost Hills Campground) in a Travel Trailer.
