Texarkana KOA, Texarkana, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Park was easy to find if you follow their directions, but don't rely on GPS to be accurate. It is right off I-30 and the pull-thru we had was easy to get in and out of with our 40ft 5th wheel. We could even leave our tow vehicle connected. We did have a lot of ants the next morning, so take precautions for those. We would stay here again. We camped at Texarkana KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Noccalula Falls Campground, Gadsden, Alabama

Date of Stay: December, 2011 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed our stay here. The staff was friendly and courteous and made a special effort to put us on a site that would accommodate our 40 foot 5th Wheel. Site had a level concrete pad with good water, electric and sewer. There is a nice walking trail above the creek. The falls are spectacular. A wedding chapel is built near the falls. At night, access to the campground requires a gate code. Interior roads are paved and we had no trouble navigating in and out of the park, but roads are due for some maintenance. Take note that the Campground entrance and the Noccalula Falls Park entrance are different. Pay close attention to the signs posted. Rate reflects weekly discount. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Noccalula Falls Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Corinth Recreation Area, Double Springs, Alabama

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very well maintained and managed park on Smith Lake in the Bankhead National Forest. Interior roads are paved, site pads are asphalt. Sites are level, well shaded, with sturdy picnic tables and fire rings. Campground manager and hosts are very friendly and helpful. Entry to campground requires a gate code, so traffic is light. Very quiet and peaceful in the evening. There are several walking trails through the woods that lead down to the shore of Smith Lake. There is also a Day Use area with a nice swimming beach and a boat ramp. Adequate electric and water connections, but be sure to bring a regulator, because water pressure is somewhat high. Good reception for AT&T and Verizon. We wish we had been able to stay longer. We will definitely be back. We camped at Corinth Recreation Area in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a great park to stay at, very clean. The bathrooms are the best I have seen in my travels so far. Wi-Fi worked great and cable TV was perfect. The staff including the owner were very professional. That saying the park is close to all the local sites and easy to access. Overall I enjoyed my stay tremendously. We camped at Heritage Acres RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
