When we plugged in our Class A we got an error code of "reversed polarity" and therefore couldn't use their electric. We spent the evening on the generator which we hated to do since we were mere feet from the buildings of an extended care facility. We did not hook up the sewer or use any part of the facility. We merely parked as you would in a WalMart parking lot. When we reported the problem the next morning, the lady at the desk went off on my husband. She dissolved into a long diatribe about "us people in big rigs wanting something for nothing." Bottom line - the wiring is screwed up and will potentially damage your rig and/or appliances if you take the chance of staying here...even just overnight. I am reporting this as a service to other "big riggers".

Nice new facilities. Easy to find. Nice pond to walk your dog around. Owner/manager very friendly. Quiet. Lots of birds. Good overnight or two if in area.

We first stayed in this park in 2008 and have watched it go downhill ever since. What a pity because finding a decent place to park a motorhome in the Dallas area is like finding the proverbial needle. As of 1/1/12, this place has no working restrooms or showers, has garbage and debris at every site, has enormous potholes everywhere, and attendants who don't attend to a darn thing. It also seems to be leaning toward permanent "guests". Will stay here again only since there are no other options. Sure wish somebody would open a new, nice RV park in the area.

Don't let them tell you that you only get one free hour of internet. All you have to do is go back and ask for more "coupons" and you can get back on after the first hour. Also, don't wash the vehicle here if you need fuel. A rig wash is free with fill up right down the road. Other than these things, it's ok.

Very small nice park in great location to ocean. Absolutely best place to see bald eagles. They are in abundance on the beach and in the air. Great for taking photos. Moose too. Owners are very nice. Free firewood. Only thing it doesn't have is cable TV. Good restaurant down the street called Blue Bus Cafe.

The nightly rate is for a 2 month stay. (Jan & Feb) Electric is extra. It would be hard to find fault with this place. We stayed in the north end and used that pool but there are 3 total all clean as a whistle. We wished we had a dog when we saw the dog area complete with its own lake. Activities are excellent. Nice little gym. Friendly residents. Big shuffleboard community and great shuffleboard courts. Nice rock shop. Good lunches for purchase at the rec. hall. Very close drive to Mexico and dentists there. Only drawback is that it is in Mercedes. Nothing to do once off the park property. Oh well!

This is the third Arkansas state park we've camped at in the last month and it is, without question, the best. Lots to do and see. Fine old lodge built by the CCC in the 30's. Many wonderful paths, caves, rocks, and vistas to enjoy. Just a walk through the campground(s) was great. Lake was very low (and waterfall non existent) due to lack of rain. But shop before you go up the mountain as it is 30 miles round trip to the nearest store. Lots of stuff about the place to like. However, the reservations department needs a complete overhaul. It was comical to watch campers have to move one space to make room for a new camper coming in and then wait for someone else to move so they could park again. And not all of the sites are level. So if you get a good one you would like to stay there. Camper's inconvenience is ignored. But if needless moving doesn't bother you, it's a great place.

Stayed in the recently remodeled section which is lovely and flat. All amenities. Could throw a rock in the river from your patio area. Huge sites. Quick walk to the spring. Lots of fishermen. Very pretty although dry this year. Would recommend to anyone.

This campground has been remodeled and is outstanding. Great big comfortable sites with 50 amp and all amenities. We stayed 6 nights and could have stayed much longer. The watershed lake was very, very low due to lack of rain but would highly recommend to anyone in the area.

New, nice, big, full hook up sites. Fabulous views of the bluffs. Great shopping near by. Lots of space here - maybe they intend to put in a pool. Cannot go wrong when in the area.

Stayed 2 nights. Comfortable and clean. Near highway but no noise problem. Lots of bunnies hopping around!

Date of Stay:

Had intended to stay one night but stayed 3 due to the wonderful location. Near all distilleries and easy on and off the highway. Neat, clean, paved. Nothing bad to say except trees are sparse so no shade. Stores and restaurants of all descriptions were very close.

In an effort of accuracy I must say that the "Don't Know" under clean restroom and shower is because there are none! This park is mostly park models (nice ones) but the site we got was large and well spaced and all cement, full hook up with 50 amp., very comfortable. There are large open grassy areas and no feeling whatsoever of being closed in. This park has a whole lot going for it, and we would consider buying here if not for the fact that there is no pool and no clubhouse. I cannot imagine why not since there's so much room. But since there is nowhere to go and nothing to do it seems that people parade every night in their golf carts. There are hundreds of them. Fun to watch. We liked the place and would recommend it.

Just a little ole motel with parking behind it: but with good blacktop, is quiet, very clean and an excellent location. Doubt if you could do much better. Close to Carousel Museum, Erie Canal, wine trail, the Falls and great food and shopping. Owner on premises is very nice guy. Only thing is the price, but you are near the Falls so what're gonna do?

Date of Stay:

Unlike a lot of places, the photo's on their website accurately represent what you get. A few things to do in the area. Shopping nearby. No real issues except price, and if you want to see any view you are parking in a grass field. Their 30 amp service wouldn't run our air conditioner.
