This is a beautiful campground with lovely views of the surrounding hills. Spaces fairly widely spaced. My only complaint is that the trails are all used by horses and there is a stable on site that gives rides. As a result there is more horse manure and urine on trails than I have personally ever experienced. Since we like to hike we would not camp here again. If you don't mind the smell and obstacles on the trails or don't intend to hike it is a great park.

This is an asphalt lot behind the convenience store which is at the entrance to the casino. It is close to the road and railroad track. However, we did not notice traffic noise or the train. Could not connect to the Wi-Fi. On arrival there are no signs that tell you where to check in or what to do first. We went into the store which is as busy a convenience store as I have ever seen and was told to get a site and come back and tell them where. The lot although paved is not very level. Staff at the store are not friendly. Two dogs belonging to another camper were aggressive towards other campers pets and unleashed and when this information was presented to the staff they told us to confront them ourselves. Laundry was not working. We got propane the next day and the young lady who handled it did not know if you should turn off your propane appliances first, did not know if the valve should be turned off on our tank. She only gave one word answers and only knew how to insert the nozzle in the hole. So let's put it this way. I was being generous with a 3.

Very nice private campground in town. Surrounding area is somewhat industrial but the campground feels secure and is nicely landscaped. Our rate was discounted 50% due to a club membership. Sites were level and relatively widely spaced. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for 2 nights on the way out of Big Bend to get groceries in Alpine. It was a great little park to spend a night or two. Just 6 miles down the road from Alpine. Beautiful views of the surrounding hills, very quiet. Nice owner. Best showers we've seen anywhere. Would definitely stay here again. Rate was under $20/night with Escapees discount.
